Report: EA Is Remastering The ‘Mass Effect’ Trilogy At Long Last (Unconfirmed)

ME3 multiplayer was really fun. Vorcha were missed by me in MEA, along with the other races, but more so the former as I mained the Vorcha classes.
I like ME3 multiplayer (I've re-installed it a couple of months ago) but holy shit it's a pain in the ass to unlock new weapons and characters. One thing that MEA got right was the progression system.

If this means an increase in Mass Effect porn then I’m happy. Me purchasing it depends on how much reworking goes into ME1, otherwise I’ll just keep ripping and tearing in Coom: Eternal

If you want, EA doesn't check anymore and I believe you can cheat engine all the credits you need. I know that sounds like cheating, but it can take hundreds of hours to unlock everything the right way. All you really need is Batarian Supreme Gentleman and an AT-12 or Crusader to crush golds though. Batarian Adepts do horrific things to bosses.

Who asked for this?
1,2 and 3 are perfectly playable on modern systems.
Now the splintercell series on the other hand....
Imagine if they don't include the DLC? That would be super funny.

Earlier posts more or less sum this up well, but I think now that we're a bit deeper into COVID and know how its affecting the games industry in particular, projects like this make more and more sense. Who knows what the dev pipeline actually looks like, but there's probably very little new development needed to get this stuff up and running given backwards compat. was already in place (IIRC.) Outside of that it's just artists doing their thing, I assume.

I just stumbled upon a 360 copy of ME1 today and will probably tear through it again just for fun.
Or if the only one not included is the one with the protean.

Yeah, I might do that.

On the 360 I used to play as the volus adept and the fury. I liked the ability to create biotic combos with other players.

Played on PC, but I never got any of the Volus classes. Amusingly, given how much I love Vanguards, I never got the Batarian one, but other than Hatesurfing, I think the Soldier and Adept were better as classes. The Soldier could clear trash units very well and the Adept was a boss nuker. Biotic combos were just so damn satisfying, especially on any class with cluster grenades. The Drell were fun to play because of that, but difficult if you had a shit connection. Pure finesse classes and a joy when they worked right.

I was sad that they got ME:A's right for about a month and a half before EA cocked it up. My first gold unlock was the Asari Huntress and even in the bad times I always felt she was underrated. It was just cloak dashes to drop aggro and melee when you could, too many people played her like a power class or a traditional infiltrator and never came to terms with her hit and run potential and stupid mobility.

So much potential wasted, makes me sad.

Ps4 edition would be nice. I mean, there's really no reason for me to buy it, but if they even remotely change the ending for 3?... We'll see.

Started my second playthrough. Im doing femshep mainly paragon with some renegade with a kaiden romance

I'm not getting my hopes up for this. The reason I never go back to the ME trilogy isn't because the graphics or gameplay are dated, it's because Mass Effect 3 fucking sucked and any time I even boot up Mass Effect 1 I remember this by the end of Eden Prime and think "what's the point?"
Just turn the game off after the crucible and the citadel combine and imagine that the device kills all the reapers or enough of them that theyre forced to retreat. Then boot up Citadel and block out any references to the war still going on and Anderson being alive

The main reason I want this is because the PC versions of Mass Effect 1 and 2 never had native controller support.

And if you're playing on PC, there's a nice little mod that does exactly that for you.

Just download either MEHEM or JohnP's Alternate MEHEM.

I was lucky enough to get the N7 Engineer and Soldier in ME3 MP. YOU GET A GRENADE, YOU GET A GRENADE, AND YOU GET A GRENADE, AND EVERYONE GETS A GRENADE! Practical? Not really given the tech/biotic combo meta, but fun as hell.

Spamming concussive shots with the human soldier is pretty good.
I loved the sound design in ME3, the biotic explosions sound effects really gave the feeling that you were actually doing something.

kaiden romance
I saved Kaidan once in ME1. Biggest mistake. The guy is so fucking boring and whiny, especially in ME3.

Vorcha Sentinel and Vorcha Soldier were my favorites.

Both had flamethrowers to melt armor, and cancelling it early allowed this to be spammed. Great for clearing trash mobs. Sentinel could combo cluster grenades with flamethrower, for easy but effective damage. The Vorcha strong-melee was quick, so it was viable to do a melee build on lower to middle ranks, and the animation was very short. Finally, Bloodlust's passive speed boost and regenerating heals were easy mode.

I obsessively played the ME3 mp. My fave was probably the Batarian Enforcer. They have what was basically a shotgun gauntlet that could stagger anything, caused bleed & could be upgraded to explode after a few seconds for insane damage. Also had incendiary grenades that could kill groups & wreck armour. On top of all that they had an insane melee attack that could literally punch the heads off of most enemies. Only downside was the couldn't roll.

Literally the only interesting thing about him is that he's voiced by the same guy as Carth from KOTOR, but Carth was far more interesting. People complain about Jacob, but Jacob had some semblance of personality and background. Kaiden is the most boring fucking party member in the trilogy. He felt like an afterthought in 3, as if BioWare didn't expect anyone to have saved him in the first place.
