Report: EA Is Remastering The ‘Mass Effect’ Trilogy At Long Last (Unconfirmed)

Why in the world is Mac (I completely screwed over ME3's ending and Andromeda's development) Walters still getting such big roles at the company?
Now, to be fair to Mac, Casey Hudson was in charge of ME3 and the ending so he shares that, and he was the last lead on Andromeda, he's actually least responsible for fucking it up. He was given a turd and told to get it out the door. Casey Hudson started Andromeda development, I think they had one of the art team or something in charge of most of it. The real issue was Casey Hudson's pet Anthem consuming all of BioWare's experienced teams. Andromeda got the C Team because the A and B teams were trying to fix the pile of crap that Anthem was.

Give Mac heat for being a hack writer as a lead writer, but Casey Hudson is the source of a lot of BioWare's woes.

A new game just released, you know what that means - time for a fresh round of insane articles from woke morons!

What would it mean to defund the Normandy? I'll tell you - it'd mean the entire galaxy getting successfully destroyed by giant cthulhu squid robots, you absolute retards!

Also reduced relations with the turians as it was a joint defence project. Polygon are the real xenophobes?

Like @capitalBBustard said, ME1 is rough but the game has one thing that the sequels don't: soul.
ME2 is the beginning of the end of the franchise, the casualization, the streamlining of the story, the gameplay (FUCK THERMAL CLIPS), the RPG elements, the exploration of the galaxy (you barely go offworld, the new vehicle is only used twice in the entire game). There's no sense of wonder anymore, TIM says: "here's [plot element], go there, do that", rinse and repeat. As soon as you get control of the Shepard that you had since the previous game, they kill him/her.
Just because some aspects of ME1 were rough doesn't mean that they had to be removed. There was no reason for them to remove the inventory system, the customization of your weapons, armors and squadmates. The sad truth is, Takahashi is also responsible for this. In his ME1 review he complained about the difficulty of the game, he only found out later - in the comments section - that it was possible to change the loadout, the armors AND to add points to each ability after leveling up.

The fact they even listened to this dumbass in the first place was a portent of the clusterfuck the series became.

But C-Sec frowned upon shitheads like Harkin, how are they in any way similar to how modern cops are perceived?

I'm going to take a wild guess and say this nog has said he's played the game or is a fan of it, while not actually having played the game because that's how people mostly are nowadays.
It's pretty obvious that's the case since the very first thing established in the game is that Shep is Alliance military, the Normandy is also military, and Specters are more like Glowies than actual cops. If anyone on the Normandy was strapped to actual legal proceedings the plot would go nowhere, that's precisely what you learn the moment you get on the Citadel.

If the lazy idiot used that as their argument it would at least use the plot, but it didn't. It's just some retard who can't differentiate between different forms of authority and assumes 'COP = BADWRONG'. Even though Shep and the Normandy are responsible for saving entire species from extinction.

Yeah, abolish C-Sec. #QuarianRefugeesWelcome
The gamejournos used to have more retarded takes regarding Mass Effect. "Why do we have to kill the Reapers? Can't we just convince them diplomatically that what they're doing is wrong?"
The author has never played the ME games. The Normandy is property of Earth' Alliance military and it's also a symbol that shows that humans and turians can work together. But hey, go ahead gamejourno, abolish the military branches of every Council races, let the Repears hit the Great Reset button and destroy all living beings in the galaxy.

According to Mack from Worth-a-Buy you can't rebind the keys on PC. It's still "space bar does everything".
mass effect 3 having cover/sprint/use on the same fucking key was already aids enough, are you telling me they went back and shat up me1+2 with that?
I think I'm in the wrong line of work, I wanna get paid to be retarded too....

This got cut when upper management panicked that all the new players, who were totally real and the game was certain to do better than barely outsell the original, would not know who Liara was and would get too confused about playing multiple characters in quick succession

if that was bioware's "experienced" team I don't even wanna know, launch anthem was a shitshow.

This is especially funny because Harkin was only given all his second chances because he was one of the first human officers on the Citadel.

C-SEC was afraid to fire a diversity hire.
Na. The Alliance pulled countless strings and called in way too many favors to keep him around to avoid the bad PR of his firing. The minute there were more humans on C-SEC both C-SEC and the Alliance dropped his ass like a hot potato.

Dunno how legit it is but there's rumors going around ME3 MP will be announced soon-ish.

Personally I'd be curious to see how they'd handle the lootboxes cuz I doubt they'd be able to get away with it again. After the Battlefront 2 clusterfuck almost all non-sports games have dropped them.

is Garrus still a god in the remaster?

speaking of mass effect three, how well dose the remaster play? did you guys like mass effect three (dont mention the ending we all know the answer too that) from a story and gameplay prospective?
Love the gameplay. Really dislike the story, except for the Genophage and the Geth-Quarian plots that I thought were well done (even if Bioware tries way too hard to push you to side with the Krogan).
