I will give credit for the Resident Evil 4 demake where it's due in finally curing my delusion of us ever seeing the resurrection of Dino Crisis, let alone one that is good. Even if Crapcom decides to bring it back, I don't want it anymore. Just the thought of what they're going to cut out, dumb down and the unspeakable acts they'll do to Regina just horrifies me to the core.

You don't need to imagine what that would look like, they already released their new dino game, "Exoprimal", at least for beta testing. I will give you a hint, this is all people remember about it

Allow me to rewrite a certain scene from Jurassic Park in regards to a potential remake of Dino Crisis:

It'll be over the shoulder bullshit. Of course. DC2 is a straight action game but DC1 couldn't be anything more opposite of that. It just wasn't worth it to even fight Raptors in that, and it was better to stun them and run.
 
I posted my S+ in Seperate Ways but I don't know if I can be asked to get that fucking RPD outfit when you need to get perfects on all the Mercs. I wish I had done this already with all the available characters. I guess I'll give it a go on the weekend.

S+ with Separate Ways wasn't so bad. And there's enough optimization runs out there to clear it with ample time left. It's just like with the main game, the question of resources and what is and isn't worth going out of your way to pick up and will you have enough for RPGs.

I had enough to RPG Verdugo round 1 since you get the crown right before it like in the main game and round 2 isn't so bad after you get a feel for the attack pattern. I sold my near maxed out auto rifle to buy it for Saddler because fuck that noise.

It's the easiest thing in the world. Just keep killing, enemies have no hp just headshot then melee. If a boss spawns thats even slightly difficult, pop your mayhem mode.

I did some of it over the weekend, and I only realized you only need S+ with everyone to get it, which is way simpler. It was going around initially it was S++.
 
Nearly done Mercs. I unlocked Ada dress and Leon mafia and they're very OP. Wasn't expected Ada to get an RPG. The Docks level is alright, but I prefer Waterworld. Double bladed Salvador is ass compared to the Tyrant sized one in the OG.

Having enemies spawn directly behind you as soon as you turn is completely retarded. Like I don't mind if there is some distance but it's nearly immediate with nearly no distance to close to hit you. And there is some serious bugs in the Island level. Many times I need to restart because there's no spawns or enemy pathfinding is FUBAR'd and they're stuck in a corner somewhere which requires a restart. It may take a few times to get a seed that's even playable in that one.

It also appears there's another slot for more DLC.


Probably assignment Ada. But I'd like some stuff for campaign and add more levels to Mercs like Waterworld. Maybe more weapons, or more outfits. I feel it's dumb to have the Matilda, the shotgun but not the Deagle from 2make.

You know how many major or even minor glitches I had during my time with Resident Evil 4? Zero, none, the game worked flawlessly.

Speaking of which, I don't see anyone even talk about the DLC anymore. I don't even care if it was a dud or not, nobody seems to care about this game PERIOD. Good luck milking the RE4 memberberries until the next game/remake/movie!

It goes to show you the whole meaning of soul vs. soulless. The original RE4 had captured us with its soul gameplay, as is the case with the other prior games in the main RE series. But also like the other games, Crapcum had to screw everything up with their shitty memberberries bullshit. This is the same with big name compnaies that milk huge properties until the milk is dry.

My only major complaint with 8 is that it was short as hell. The whole castle could have been a game by itself if expanded out a little and it might have been a tighter experience. Still the closest the series has ever come for me personally to being as fun as RE4.

Then again I'm not as jaded or whiny as most RE fans so what do I know?
