Playing through RE6 again, about to finish Ada's story and the game overall.

I have to mention... This game made me realize how much i like these characters. They're so simple, but effective. Entertaining as hell

Leon the smartass with the one liners and the John Connor hairdo,

Chris is elevated by the memes, but he keeps playing into them without meaning to and that makes him endearing.

Ada is such a pure femme fatale archetype, its awesome. This game is almost a time capsule, you get to see her naked at least twice and theres no shame nor any soyish excusing to it.

Even some newcomers like Jake and adult Sherry are likeable. Piers was good too but they couldve showcased the whole "disillusioned with Captain Chris" angle a bit more to make things interesting. Helena got shafted, by the end of the story you forget what her purpose was, and her personality is just "one of the good ones."

Think i'm realizing now that a huge reason why i'm a fan of this series is because of the characters and the setting itself first, and the actual games second.
Helena was infuriating, all she does is "wait, "I'll tell you everything when we get there"

Helena was suppose to be Claire, but Capcom didn't want to use her because she was already in a Revelations game and they thought it would "oversaturate" the market with her image, or some dumb shit like that.
As an aside, didn't Claire and Leon definitely drift away after one of the animated movies?
Something about Leon not giving classified government data to her and her outright breaking up their friendship.

BTW, I don't watch the animated movies, but I really wanted to see Jill meeting Leon in Death Island. Kinda disappointed they just acted like they knew each other for years.

IIRC (and now I'm starting to doubt myself), Claire wanted to to go find her brother and Leon wanted to do something else related to taking down Umbrella. It occurred shortly after the second game.

That was the ending to that shitty CGI Netflix show that came out in the last couple of years, Infinite Darkness.

It was also so retarded that it basically recontextualizes everything to mean that it's all Leon's fault that Resident Evil 5 and everything onwards happens.

Yeah, but after that game it was inplied they kept in touch.
I was referring to one of the CG movies, where they meet up as friends but end up souring up on each other.

Edit - @Gravemind got it right. Fucking Netflix, man

Chris? Stop it! :'(

Well, they do look pretty similar and Helena's clothing does reflect Claire' style.
Helena's basically a discount Claire Redfield.

Actually, when I first played RE6 (in 2020) I had taken Helena for Claire because in my country's dub they used the same VA.

Leon acts like your typical glowie and doesn't turn over classified info to Claire regarding government involvement in biohazard incidents and she tells him he has changed and that the suit "Doesn't fit him."

But in the new one they seem on well enough terms so who knows.

Chris played peacemaker, can't perpetuate that Redfield bloodline if your sister and the sperm donor aren't on talking terms

A glowie would be doing it for some shadier, ulterior motive.

Leon's entire reasoning for withholding the information is because he's absolutely convinced he'll "fight the corruption" within the US government by himself "from the inside".

And then Tricell is allowed to get away with everything and Resident Evil 5 happens.

Should also be noted that Leon joined because if he didn't the government was going to go after sherry for "knowing too much".

And yet they go after Sherry anyway and make her a federal agent.

considering Terrasave isn't exactly an angel either, Leon is kinda right and Claire shouldn't be throwing stone in glass houses

What has TerraSave done?
Weren't they those dumb gay glowies who Claire was working with in revelations
didn't the ginger steal the ocean virus and sell it to... terrorism i think

One of TerraSave's activists ended up being a retarded patsy for the very corporation TerraSave was in direct conflict with, which is what resulted in Resident Evil: Degeneration happening, and later, a crooked TerraSave manager who was formerly an employee for the Feds' bioterrorism agency which had its head outed and arrested for the events of the first Revelations game basically caused the events of Revelations 2 to happen.

Technically speaking, TerraSave itself as an organization has done nothing wrong and has just been set up as fall guys a couple of times.

I think that it's somewhat of a focal point of the series that the B.O.W.s are too apppealing to not be used even by the organizations supposed to combat them.

In Village, Chris discovers that even the BSAA has deployed Tyrant soldiers against Miranda.
