Some think it has something to do with Claire since all her outfits in the old games had Valkyrie wings.

Really? How interesting.

RE1's shitty GameCube remake
I think you're the only person I've ever seen who hates the remake of 1. I kneel before your contrarianism REsperging senpai...
I've seen that dude but he's a worse sperg and a faggoty contrarian by all means, he's one of those /mu/ tier snooty gamers who thinks being hardcore makes him better while he strokes kojimas balls and whatnot. Most videos Electric Underground makes is for aesthetic or whining.

No this guy made a more recent one and seems like an actual RE fan. Everything is explained and timestamped, despite the heavy use of buzzwords. Honestly the best video done on the game to me since it goes into all faults of what makes the game feel like dog shit.

They reuse animations from revelations but never sped them up to match the pace. Simple hacking and altering numbers in the code can fix the experiences aside from design pitfalls. Forcing realism into the games was a massive mistake on top of censoring the games for being too scary after 7 and 2. Like who the fuck thought 7 was so scary that 8 had to be toned down?
>it's actually 16hrs long of sperging about RE4 remake.

I will find a way to kneel harder.

I dont hate REmake its obviously quite good but I do feel like too many people act as if it totally replaces the original and it really doesnt.

Remakes love has always confused me. It's great and I really enjoy it, but it never felt like it replaced the original RE1 to me, but some people gush about it so hard I just don't get it.

Compared to some other game remakes it probaly stands head and shoulders above others. I don't know, maybe I haven't had enough of my child hood raped to really appreciate it.

I’ve been playing Resident Evil games since the early 2000’s.
Started with the Original Trilogy.
Played Code Veronica and then X eventually.
Didn’t play 0 until much later because I never had a GameCube.
4 blew my mind as a youngin’ and still love it dearly. One of my favorite games.

Loved 5 as well, especially when I got to play it with my cousin. Sheva was frustrating somewhat when playing solo but didn’t ruin the experience for me.

I also really liked 6. Loved the globetrotting adventure with my guys Leon and Chris, and Jake was an exciting new protagonist to play as.

Despite liking these games a lot, I understand why some fans of the original trilogy didn’t care for them and their more action oriented approaches.

I got swindled by Operation Raccoon City and never made it past the battle with Nemesis.

I never played Revelations because I didn’t own a 3DS. Also didn’t play Revelations 2 because I didn’t play 1.

Along came Resident Evil 7. I despised this game and still do, as Resident Evil games.
Nothing about this game feels like Resident Evil in the slightest. It is 100% not the “return to roots” like idiots say it is. This game chased the trends of Amnesia, Outlast, and almost every other 2010’s first person horror game. The made it this terrible first person perspective all to push VR nonsense.
Resident Evil is so much more than just “scary game with item management”
Being trapped in an Outlast-esque situation with a Texas Chainsaw Massacre style family with black goopy monsters isn’t Resident Evil.

2make restored my faith that good Resident Evil games could be made.
3 was disappointing as far as length and content goes along with price point. It should’ve just been a 25 dollar DLC for 2. Besides that I enjoyed it for what it was.

Resident Evil 8 was not as heartbreaking as 7. They fixed a lot of the problems by making it feel more like a Resident Evil game by making it more like 4, but it did its own stupid crap that rivals the shittiness of 7. What is with all this spooky traditional horror crap? Resident Evil isn’t about vampires and werewolves and all this Eastern European nonsense.

Resident Evil is based on cheesy zombie movies from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s ala George Romero. As we know, he even was going to direct a RE movie.
It’s that, but also blended with science fiction. Laboratories, experiments in test tubes jumping out at you, shady corporations, all that stuff. The plagas from 4 and 5 make sense because they were experimented on.
None of this ghosts and goblins bullshit. What’s next, Leon fighting demons in RE10?

4make was definitely a good time for me.
I feel like This Guy nails it on the head best when he says that it’s not Resident Evil 4. It’s a game inspired by Resident Evil 4. All remakes are like that. They’re not the same game and I try to treat them like it.

Leon’s sections of 9 look genuinely awesome to me.

I do understand why some of you don’t like the remakes or 5 and 6. I don’t feel the k same way but I get it.

Are both on modern consoles?
Perhaps I’ll pick them up sometime.
theyre both on steam also yea, theyre not sequels theyre just games that were made during the 4-6 era so they used the revelations subtitle to denote lower budget title. Just be aware that 2 was episodic so make sure you buy it all and not some demo of it.

They both play like the 4-6 games where you shoot for hitstun so you can do a melee attack but they mixed up weakpoints its not just heads, knees and arms.

The Revelations subseries was also meant to be a bone to fans of the pre-4 gameplay style while the main series descended into retardation.

Nigga get with the times
Might get a Steam Machine if the price is right.
Never wanted to deal with the hassles that come with a PC.
With console, I just put the game in the system and go.

But with all 3 console makers sucking big time balls in the big 26, I’m going to make the switch to either a Steam Machine as previously mentioned…Or save up for a Prebuilt.
