Okay guys the Marrying Sherry thing has not been confirmed by any of the leaks I’ve checked and only is mentioned on 4chan with zero proof.

All the other leaks seem to be legit which I’m mostly fine with. It’s a nostalgia bait game but it always was going to be one with the return to Raccoon City.

I am a bit disappointed that Hunk dies tho. Wish it was someone else. Hopefully it’s a cool boss fight. I’m really liking the weapon variety.
 
I thought they leaked a hunk game a ways back?
 
I feel the same way seeing people's response to this RE leak as I felt when I saw Silent Hill F and that new one just announced set in Scotland or something:

Why are these SH games? Why not their own thing? // Why the fuck is Requiem a ResiEvil game instead of its own thing ?

They're pissing off all the fans of the established series, but from what I see it's out of idiocy/incompetence rather than the usual western "we hate the franchise itself, AND the audience". Capcom should make a new IP so they can go in a new direction and make another series with too many fuckin' games in it that keeps them on life support another decade.

(Rhetorical questions: I know the answer is they're cowards who will never take risks on a new IP)

It was in development but got canned. There's been a few attempts at HUNK games but they always get cancelled, they can't seem to figure him out as a leading man, he's got the Boba Fett problem where the more you flesh him out the less appealing he becomes.

This comparison makes zero sense because Requiem is filled to the brim with old-school Resident Evil stuff and iconography and leans hard into series lore. You literally couldn't call it something else. Unlike the new Silent Hills which are explained by "Silent Hill Events" now just being able to happen anywhere somebody feels sad enough I guess.

Depends, Ethan being pure mold at least retroactively explained some of his more absurd abilities. This supposedly has a plot point that is a very transparent cynical marketing move to keep a cash cow favorite afloat.
 
Resident Evil has never been good for plot but holy shit those leaks are bad.
A run down for anyone who doesn't want to go searching.
- Mr X and Nemesis appear in the game. As does Hunk, who gets killed.
- Leon can die in one ending via bullet to the head or survive in the other and get de-aging serum.
- There is a Wesker clone with a gay earring.
- Nemesis is the final boss fight (lol, lazy).
- Grace is Spencer's labrat daughter. Who Alyssa adopted...so she could get an interview with him?
I think there's more but my god, it's so bad :story:

HOWEVER, Leon is shown with a wedding ring so there is a CHANCE he has CONTINUED THE BLOODLINE!

People forget that this series has always supposed to have been a cheesy science fiction horror franchise. The plot to Resident Evil has always been goofy. Now that doesn’t explain bad storytelling but this isn’t necissarily bad. It’s just par for the course for Resident Evil.

Yeah exactly. Idk how people say this isn’t Resident Evil. It ties directly into old school lore and is actually the most lore connected game if you think about it.

Not quite true. There is a Tyrant in the game but it’s not Mr. X. Also Gideon gets infected with the NE-Alpha strain which sorta kinda turns him into a Nemesis-esque thing but it isn’t Nemesis.
Hunk does die which kinda sucks.

He doesn’t get De-Aging serum, he just gets cleared up of the Raccoon City Disease so that sorta kinda makes him look a bit younger.

Because a brand name is more likely to sell. Bloober team shit out that sci-fi horror game chronos the new dawn awhile back and that barely sold at all because it was an original IP. It doesn't mean the new games in these series are still good, but capcom could care less so long as people keep buying this slop.

There's a pic on 4chan with leon or Sherry's hand having a ring on it, but it's hard to see because both of them are infected.
 
This franchise really doesn't know what the fuck it wants to be anymore, huh?
Wake me up when REMAKE 5 drops, at least that will be hilarious to watch.
