We desperately need more Beneviento, it's the scariest part of the game but it's so short and the backstory is so vague, I really want to learn more about her and her family.

In fact I honestly think the idea behind Beneviento would have been strong enough to support a whole game, a Resident Evil set in a mansion with creepy dolls as the enemies and hallucinations keeping you guessing as to what's real and what isn't? (not unlike one of the abandoned ideas for RE4), it's almost criminal to only use that for one brief part.

I also think castle Dimitrescu was a strong enough setting to make for an entire game, back when games in the series were relatively short and focused around a central location ala the Spencer Mansion and the RPD police station etc,

But it'd also be cool to see the lords spend more time together, I also don't get why Ethan was so quick to reject Heisenberg's help, with all the shit Ethan had seen you'd think someone who knows what's going on and knows the area offering to help would be something he'd jump at the chance for.

To be fair, Heisenberg outright said he wanted to use Rose as a weapon to defeat Miranda, so I don't blame Ethan for being pissed in that regard. Saying "fuck you" to the guy who has you at his mercy and is willing to cooperate was stupid as hell though.

Yes, because its not like Ethan hasn't already fought his way through... how much, exactly by that point in the game? "Fuck you, I'll take my chances with your house of horrors" is a pretty reasonable take at that point. Smart? Debatable. Understandable? For sure, given how much woe the man's already put you through.

Well yeah. It was understandable and given how Ethan is it absolutely made sense that he’d tell Heisenberg to fuck off, but that doesn’t make it the most logical choice either.

Let’s not forget this isn’t the first instance of Ethan saying or doing something impulsive, like when he took Moreau’s flask and just stood there staring at him for a good minute instead of getting the hell out. It’s just part of his character to do questionable stuff like this.

Ethan isn't going to trust Heisenberg because A, he wants to turn Rose into a weapon, B, Heisenberg is actually fucking insane and has beaten the shit out of Ethan earlier and C, the last crazy engineer he met was Lucas Baker and Heisenberg is somehow even worse.

Ethan made the right call.

Fucking idiot

Considering that Ada Wong is one of the fan favorite Resident Evil characters and the game was literally created by a bunch of guys in Japan back in the 90's, the idea of Asian representation in this series is laughable.

But this is a Twitter troon we're talking about, so you know how it is.

Also, she forgot Four-Eyes from Operation Raccoon City, who is an American of Japanese ancestry.

Am I the only one that feels like the Wii on rail shooters spin offs were way more fun than they had any right to be?

I mean, legit, you would think they would be lame but they are actually real fun, especially with a friend. Both games together become a giant abridged version of RE 0 up to Code Veronica (while one has the framing device of being a prequel to RE 4, showing the origin of Krauser). There was legit love of this series's lore in this. And hell, both framing devices (the other is basically Wesker telling the story of RE 0,1 and 3 while showing the fall of Umbrella and the many hows involving him up to RE 4)

I consider this to be when the series was on its prime, while it was enjoying the popularity brought by RE 4 and the many really good spin offs (like the outbreak duology) with RE 5 leading into the next generation of consoles. It all seem to have ended with RE 6 for obvious reasons.

I wished Capcom/Nintendo would bring a port of these the chronicle games on the Switch, feels like it would the be perfect console for it. I mean, Capcom seems incapable of doing good RE spin offs now so they might as well cash in on nostalgic modern ports of old classics.

To be fair, I can't really blame him, nobody should have to remember Operation Racoon City.

True. That game suffered from "Good Concept, Terrible Execution" worse than any other game in the series, including Survivor.

At least Survivor is enjoyable as a quick little side game once you get the hang of the controls. ORC is just bad all the way around and it's a shame that it pretty much killed any hope of "What If?" non-canon spinoff games for the series.

I can't be too sad about it killing any spin-offs. Think about how capcom already fucks over lore, now think about them trying to juggle 3-5 different plotlines and timelines.

Then again, the prospect of playing a non canon spin off timeline with faceless umbrella mooks doesnt sound that appealing actually (especially if you went with the evil ending)

It's in Nihongo, but 30 odd minutes of RE4 VR gameplay came out:

The guy playing it sucks, but I can see it still looks quality enough. I especially like how interactable things are now; you can now physically remove the bear trap from that poor wolf's leg and melee is done still from third person, but without that trash border for cutscenes.

I still think this is gonna be a great rendition of RE4, even though it's inferior in terms of the amount of censorship shoved into it. Seriously, cutting out the ballistics line? Facebook doesn't like fun.
