Well that's a tremendous waste of resources. The GameCube remake looks and feels great to this day.

It's also almost a 1-1 remake of the original which a new version probably wouldn't be.

It did have a cash shop yea, funny thing is both Outbreak games still have fan communities running bootleg servers so they could just make a proper third Outbreak game and probably do ok but no everything has to be a Battle Royale Fortnite clone that's destined to fail because that trend peaked about six years ago and has been slowly dying ever since.
 
I dislike the mold for its lovecraftian implications and think the story was better when it was just scientists and businessmen going too far. Them retroactively shoehorning it into every fuckin' remake is getting beyond a joke at this point. Crushing Umbrella off screen killed the momentum of the story more than killing off Wesker.

It'll be just another dark hallway sim just like 2make was with D level lazy zombie moans, no spiders, no chimeras and Lisa will be inside the Mansion as a Mr. X mechanic for half the game.

They got rid of Umbrella far too quickly in the series. I think Wesker was around long enough... but if you're going to kill off the main villain of the series, you need to have a replacement that's at least close to his presence.

All killed off. So much potential with Alex and got rid of her in one game, and now she's permanently a stinger end credits villain they'll never return to.

I'd bet my house they'll go at it with a hatchet. As much as diehards love REmake, it's not RE4. They put resources into 4make and it's decent, but we've already gone over ad nauseam why it's flawed.

But they'll shamelessly shit out a bad REREmake because NOSTALGIA

Everything needs to be remade in the shitty shooting mechanics of RE Engine I suppose.

CV is the only game in the series that needed a remake, and they'll just ignore it. It's a mainline game even though it's not numbered.

She's even worse than I remembered. I mentioned I went through it again, got to NEST 2 (LMAO) and just deleted the fucking thing.

She has to be a cunt, to literally every man in the game at least a few times for no apparent reason. While she was a tough bitch in the original, she wasn't mean, she was just a strong heroine that could hang with the boys. But in this one, she has to emasculate all the men including fucking Nemesis because VAGINA POWER

they only (maybe) put it in 4 didn't they? It has that black goo instead of blood in a lot of areas and for that ritual but the plagas are still the main source.

Also the mold was a science experiment by umbrella that broke containment.

I actually like how all the way to 7 they kept coming up with new sources of bioweapon
raccoon incident was a virus
0 was leeches
4 was a parasite
5 was flowers but also parasite (except now ada doesnt give him the virus in REmake4)
6, rev1, rev2 and dead aim were previous viruses mixed togehter (not very creative but the theming of each was good)
7 was mold
8 was also mold but the enemies/bosses all had a bait and switch excuse for their Halloween town monster mash theme that was fun.

The Molded was created by The Connections in the 90s while the Mold itself is a fungus, definitely related to plaga and the nemesis parasite which all originate from Europe. They'll probably make it related to progenitor too since they're trying to make the world smaller. (Spencer and Miranda and the Umbrella logo being found in a cave with the Mold.) I wouldn't be surprised because it's the stupidest thing ever, they'll reveal there's something in the Earth, millions of years old, that looks like the Umbrella logo and created all these parasites and fungus and Chris will have to punch it to death.

Yeah it was good, now they're trying to tie everything together with these remakes and it's stupid. Just have lead exposed geniuses do crazy shit every game, it's not supposed to deep.

BSAA becoming Umbrella and using mutants against other mutants, while a tired trope, is something that they hadn't done before and was the most interesting part of 8.
 
Is the mold really all that more silly or unbelievable than the T virus or G virus or ouroborous?

I mean it's all just magic juice that turns you into a giant monster when you take it, it's not like any of the Resident Evil games have ever attempted to explain how it works scientifically.

That's honestly fine with me, I'd rather things be entertaining than make sense. If I want realism I'll go outside.
