I'm immediately more invested in this than village, getting a sequel to outbreak is nice. Going back to raccoon city is definitely an option. The monster from the demo definitely is interesting. Looks less resident evil, more Trevor Henderson.

As for the reveal trailer, what is there to talk about? No gameplay, just some shitty drama that has zero zombies.
 
It's funny how all the pre release marketing be like "she's just a girl not a trained soldier she's not cut out for this shit! Look how scared she is! Muh panic attacks!"

And then the actual game comes out and it's eight hours of me shooting everything in the face with muh boomstick.
 
Pretty obvious the monster is Alyssa. The hair is a dead giveaway.

I hope that 9 does away with the horrid crosshair focusing mechanic capcom has been blighting re games with since the remake of 2 (or was it 7? I'm elderly and my memory fails me). Other than that my only wish is that it doesn't completely shit the bed in the second half like 7 and 8 did.

Literally the fanbase asks for jill and /or leon let's give them someone nobody wanted bc: jill and leon dont get scared. So let's get a zoomer who hyperventilate every 5 seconds so we can "feel her fear".

What was so special about Silent Hill F? This is literally the "Soy-Soy but JAPAN!" meme. Nothing special pops out about that game and if it didn't have "Silent Hill" in the title nobody would give a shit about it.

After watching the movies I kinda get it. If Leon and Chris were together for the last game it would turn into RE6 again and they would just pile drive everything to death with their bare hands.


I do hope Chris comes into it later though, maybe as a last min gunship rescue.

Aren't they like 50 years old each by now? They really do need some fresh blood by this point, or just reboot the franchise(which they are trying to do with the demakes).

It's so ridiculous when you think about it, how these characters spend most of their life by now fighting monsters like it's their day job on regular bases. Some real capeshit stuff, they're just super heros without capes and with guns by this point. Reminds me of that bit Yahtzee did years ago, where the next Resident Evil game will be about how Wesker started an outbreak to distract the IRS from the fact he was late on his tax payments or something, because these zombie infestations have to be routine by this point in the timeline.

I do kinda love that shit though. The fact that Chris and co have literally been non stop killing zombies for like 30 years solid snake style is very charming to me. It wouldn't have given us the greatest RE meme otherwise.

I would not have minded at all if the series became a retarded awesome 90s action series.
 
I was intrigued by the concept of the series returning to the bombed-out wreckage of Raccoon City but after seeing that other trailer and the demo, I am still not interested in what they're selling. I guess at this point I've been off the RE wagon since RE5 so it's probably best to just accept that this franchise isn't really "for me" anymore, I'll still play the fuck outta the old installments though. RE Redditoids seem particularly keen on absolutely fellating anything Capcom shits out, that is when they're not updooting "shitty Jill Valentine cosplay by an OnlyFans whore #3179942" and whining about 'archaic' tank controls and shitting on 'RE boomers' who played these games prior to 2017. Quite clearly Capcom is catering to a far different demographic nowadays and I am not part of it.

I always feel like I'm living in an alternate universe when I see reddit takes.

I just saw one soyjacking over grace Ashcroft. "Wow! She has short hair and wears a suit! So cool! Finally Capcom is ditching the gooner designs and becoming a modern company!"

What world is this troon living in? Capcom is one of the most ESG friendly companies out there. The last time they've had sex appeal in one of their games was probably Sherry's hospital gown in RE6 and that game came out in 2012, over a decade ago.

Capcom advertises their shit with drag queens now.

Any game series that we grew up with in the 90s is just pure pozzed goyslop now. I'm cautiously optimistic about 9 but I'm not expecting much from it. It's been two side stories that hold no meaning to the series overall since the legacy characters don't even take part in it.

Even when they go for nostaligia and do remakes, it's always lazy bullshit that is aimed at the redditards that LOVE remakes no matter how clearly inferior they are.
