I liked him. Well... I liked how everyone shat on him In the movie and he had to prove his competency.





Honestly would have enjoyed more Bollywood resident evil. I feel like Indians are actually good at making entertaining movies.

Please see yourself out. The reality of India is a Resident Evil biohazard fallout site already. It would probably be the only county that would survive the onslaught of bioweapons for the simple reason that they'd get raped/eaten by jeets, or the filth and pollution would get to them.

As for the movies, they're bad fanfics that had some great casting directors (for the most part) wasted on shitty scripts and an even worse sequence of directors.

The first movie was tolerable schlock, but when they started using game characters as props to make the titless Mary Sue look awesome we transcended into the realms of gay fanfiction.

They are all stupid, fun and shitty movies. Id argue the only completely bad movie was the final chapter. And that was at least entertaining in seeing how bad it would get. Oh and the Netflix animated Leon series felt like it ran out of money and script


Shit can we have a resident evil movie Friday? Id watch that if I wasn't working most of the day.

So whats the difference between that and regular infection? The latter kills you after a couple of hours, Jill was able to handle almost nearly a day after getting infected. She was given an anti-virus but RE5 revealed it just kept the T-Virus dormant, Wesker used the anti-bodies in the creation of Uroboros (apparently they are also the reason her hair is suddenly blonde...somehow, so no, it wasnt a Wesker thing but it is still weird)

But this seems to be all about a "long incubation" period when the T-Virus never really demonstrated to be able to do this. They are retconning Leon being infected with the T-Virus all along then. Am I suppose to assume Claire* isnt suffering of this either? I mean, hell, if you have to bring in this retcon, you might as well use that as an excuse to have Leon and Claire on a new adventure together while they look for a cure and support each other as they get worse.

If anything this is the perfect in universe explanation to nerf Leon as having him unable to do his usual acrobatics but seems like he is still the same old.

I guess what Im trying to say is that this is a retcon and an inconsistent one at that.

Edit: Hell, why is this even an issue when, at this point, T-Virus vaccines have been produced so much and are likely available in so many hospitals that it pretty much made the virus obsolete as a weapon? Anyone demonstrating symptons would be rushed to the hospital and given the vaccine stat as to avoid a possible contageon.

This feels really contrived.
*Same might apply to most R.C survivors?

Wouldn't this mean the entire cast would have this infection, even those that were in the Mansion and Training facility? They were bathed in T-Virus during their relative outbreaks.

While I kinda like this idea, taking thirty years for it to manifest is some deus ex machina shit to kill off a character.

getting infected and then cured is another hand waving reason to make the characters young in lore. Jill has it, Sherry looks like a teen despite being a christmas cake in 6. Chris and Claire got infected and cured in that movie.

In a way, Spencer's dream of eternal youth is fulfilled with Jill
 
NGL bros…I might actually get upset if Leon dies in this game. He’s one of my favorite characters in gaming and to think this game might be his end…I don’t like the idea of that.

I hope he doesn’t actually die and just retires or something. I’m fine with having a new cast of characters as long as they’re as cool as the old ones.
Maybe Leon can become director of the DSO. Have him show up in cutscenes and whatnot.

Capcom is pretty reliable when it comes to the safety of it's main characters.... Mostly

Introducing a new cast should have been a thing a decade ago.

Then again, there's literally no reason why RE games needed to keep pace with IRL passage of time, yet Capcom insists on it for whatever reason.

It's not like anyone gives a fuck if the game takes place in 2000 or 2026.

So we're just gonna skip over the interesting moral and ethical dilemmas of the BSAA using BOWs to fight other BOWs and Chris' autistic spergout over that? Okay, I guess we'll move 5 years into the future and throw that interesting idea into the dustbin and bring back old Leon and introduce the daughter of a character I wouldn't be shocked if Grace is a Wesker or some shit from a series we should've modernised instead of releasing two multiplayer games that no one gave one shit about.
