This is what I thought Capcom was going to go with: two separate campaigns that you then piece the context of one with the other. I’m without a doubt if you separated them and gave them to respective teams the game would be better.
 
I just got to the not Mr X boss fight and what the fuck was that?

Maybe it's because I've played a fuck ton of parryslop but I beat him with no health loss he just couldn't fucking hit me, I just flawlessly parried every attack.

These things can canonically punch through concrete and bend iron bars, I don't think Leon's Gary Paulson hatchet should be able to stop a Tyrant gigapunch.

Also are yellow and red herbs just not a thing anymore because I haven't found any.

That entire fight is comical, Mr.X roaring at Leon like he's a wild beast and literally throwing cars at him (which can land on your head and aren't an instant kill).

There are only green herbs which you can combine or turn into injectors.

To be fair, yellow herbs were only RE4. Blue antipoison herbs should still be here due to the spiders and Ivys. And red herbs would've been better than how you make injectors atm.

So from this we can ascertain the plot of RE10: Chris will cap Ada and Leon will have to go on a globe trotting adventure escaping his inevitable future with Claire (Ms. X)

His mechanics should've been 1:1 entirely from the game without the reticle bloom. For as much as people bitched about RE6, they keep reusing troupes from that game.
 
The Mr, X fight, 'Hunk' fight and final boss all just felt like poor imitations of other fights in the series. Also I hated the orphanage section in RE2 remake and this game just had to do it all over again :( I wish there was a way to skip the forced walking sections on subsequent playthroughs, they just kill the pace for me. Also no proper new game plus is a bit disappointing, I know you can buy Leon's weapons sooner but it just isn't the same as rushing through areas blasting everything with late game weapons. I said it before, I do like the game but having now completed it, it feels super unpolished / a bit of a mess.
 
Im seeing discussion about Hunk, isnt he dead? Did they memberberries us with nostalgia bait?
 
I watched pieces of playthroughs and I'm damn glad I have no interest in this game.

Bafflingly stupid design decisions. Grace is shown to be a retarded aspie that gets her mom killed because she was sperging out. Did the developers binge watch The Good Doctor and then write her character?

Leon seems like an invincible badass at all times except for when the plot needs him not to be.

And what's with the straight up reused asset boss fights? Memberberries or lazy faggot development?

I could see Capcom faking us out with clones. It was kinda in the movies


Also props to Keith for still being a hunk voice since 2007.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if we get a DLC as Hunk escaping from the facility after being wounded by Leon. And then the whole 'man who never dies' thing will continue. It'll be full of memberberries and the final boss will be Chris Redfield, throwing boulders at you (like that one boss in Jak and Daxter).
 
Sigh...

Opening was strong. Really liked the hospital as Grace and felt like First Person RE1/RE7 which I liked.
Leon's sections are just...boring, but at least in the hospital it's nice to see paths crossing and play from his side.
Grace is a fucking retard who chimps out about 'muh little girl' , trying to hug a fucking monster fatty and melting down over it, then it's followed by a few hours of dull as hell Racoon City, with some RPD memberberries and reused bosses.
When I got to the bit with the Spec Ops guys, I turned it off as the game went full shooter by this point.

Everything worth seeing in this game is in the first couple of hours.

Yeah he's literally the voice actor for every hunk appearance since umbrella chronicles



Alright I had to spoil watch the fight. They are totally fucking yanking everyone's chain. I don't believe for a second this isn't an agent 47 clone situation. Literally every appearance has him with a helmet on and this is the one time he doesn't have it? And they took him out this anti climatically?


That's his brother SKUNK that likes going close range with an ax instead of immediately using the fucking machine gun on his back.

Worst case, Capcom has this fucker gets back up with a bloody neck.
