Game development is cheaper each year actually. 90% of the environments are Quixel assets and people have used those same assets in UE5 to recreate entire levels of the game in a matter of hours in UE5. Game development does not cost that much. What does is marketing. Which is again why the puzzle was done. It's good marketing.

And you're failing to factor in that investors are the ones who pay those, not you. Again, your money goes to refund the investors. The devs are on salary. They get paid regardless of if the game succeeds or not. So, they are a the whims of investors, not you. That is how all corporate works. And corporate only care about 1st year sales. Hence why it doesn't matter what RE4 has had over 21 years. Regardless RE4 og clearly isn't played that much as Steam charts and streams show. You are arguing with someone who knows more about the game than everyone in this thread. Nobody in this entire thread but me knows about all the out of bounds you can do in the original gamecube release that you are locked out of in every other release. We proved that by all of you refusing to answer my very simple questions about them a month ago. If you had the answer you could have answered then. It's been a month. None of you know the series as well as I do. This is demonstrable. Because most of you play a game once or twice. So I just got done with my 2nd playthrough (First was on Classic, 2nd was on Assisted so I could easily do the no healing or blood collector and under 4 hours challenges) so I think my opinion is solidified that even though I love it, I definitely feel the 2nd half was a lot weaker than the 1st, it picks back up when you enter the labs, but I'm kinda disappointed they completely drop the whole angle of the zombies sort of vaguely remembering their past and Leon's segment before entering the labs kinda drags and could have used more enemy variety.

Would have liked if they threw in a couple non-zombie enemies in that survived the bombing or escaped/released from the labs for one reason or another, like have Leon run into some Hunters and have to fight those dogs that only appear during the motorcycle segment on foot to spice things up.

Regardless of that, I do think it's better than 7 and 8 were because the 2nd half isn't that bad, it's just that the 1st half just set such a high bar for the rest of the game.
