The difference is that end of zoe is from the top down fucking autistic, so nothing clashes. Leon being able to parry a fucking car, despite suffering from a crippling case of boneitis and puking blood is fucking retarded. I was promised a serious story and once more Capcom lied.

The original RE trilogy is finally out now on Steam along with Breath of Fire IV. They all have that retarded enigma DRM but it can be patched out easily (seriously, capcom, why?). This'll at least make it easier to set them up on my Steam Deck which is something I've been meaning to do for awhile.

Look from a reasonable corpo shill standpoint: They just want the RE classics to even be available on Steam.

From the regular joe game consumer: Mixed opinions.

But totally agree with you on them doing it for a 2nd time (Dino Crisis 1 + 2 were the 1st to be shadowdropped w DRM lol).

As long it actually can be handled easily because i truly hate DRM being put in fucking old games, I just rather to wait until they be in a better discount or they remove at a later date the DRM. I simply can't understand why they must add it? why FUCKING WHY? GOG have them DRM free bruh but just whyyyyyyyy?

As they're part of the spring sale it's only 5 bucks for each right now. You will never see them any cheaper than that. I honestly wonder if they have some sort of agreement that requires them to put enigma in games but they did remove it from 4R after the backlash. It really is baffling though because the GOG version's existence basically cancels out any reason for the DRM because you can either buy those versions or use the executables from them to patch engima out of the Steam version.

I literally restarted my GW1/2 accounts of decades simply to have them on Steam. Diablo 4 on steam was "a red flag of blizzard bankruptcy" yet it's consistently a well-played game according to Steam stats. I don't get why all these remasters on Steam is a bad thing. Croc is a disgusting AI-upscaled mess... but it's on Steam. You can buy it and play it without emulating and all manner of shit. They'll port a game perfectly but because it AIN'T ai upscaled, people also complain.

Then again, >Rayman. What a fucking disaster.
 
So after about an hour of tinkering I figured out how to remove the DRM for at least RE2 on Steam. Simply download the game, delete all of the files in the directory, copy and paste the GOG files, then rename the file "RE2Launcher" to what it's called in the Steam version. Doing this even fixed the issue of the Steam overlay not working. Gonna do some testing on Steam Deck later but it's late and I don't wanna bother with hooking it up to my dock to do the file transfer right now.

I'd place Village and 7 on B, but otherwise this is pretty legit.
 
village is the only good RE since 5 and its hate is fucktarded, specially against the shit that its 9. yeah campcom i totally want to spend my free time playing fetch: the game at racoon city. grace is a dogshit character but the hospital was okeish this leon section is fucking awful

Wrong, Revelations 2 was pretty decent AND it had a great merc mode, worth playing just for that. Actually, I think REV1 also came out after RE5 and that game is alright too(clearly just a 3DS port tho, which is disappointing).

But no one is saying RE9 is perfect. But it's not gay storybook bullshit and werewolves. This is splitting hairs on which pile of shit smells worse.
 
I deleted RE9, i am not feeling it to play it anymore....its so boring and so trash that I did not like it.... i am sorry RE9 did not click with me

It's a complete misfire. $80 game for a ten hour playthrough is fucking ridiculous. I still play it to mess with mods but I've mostly gone back to the PS1 games.

"RE has always been short."

Not anymore, when 4R is a 20 hour game the first go around and that's before Separate Ways. While there's plenty to legitimately bitch about in it, that's the one that felt the most egregious. Both 4 OG and 5 were really long too. And 6 felt longer than both of those put together.
