Well Capcom I wouldn't doubt is in bed with BlackRock money at some form.

And nips never really cared much about the English speaking audience although RE is the exception. All the games are built around that now and then translated to Japanese. Konami cared fuck all during their golden age.

That being said, Capcom jpn still has say on representation at gaming events and they consciously use troons.

RE and DMC both mocap and record for English first. It wasn't until a law passed that forced Japanese media to have Japanese voice-over that they even included JP dubs. The first RE with it was Revelations 1.
 
Yeah, I got a jp version of Biohazard 3 with the Dino Crisis ad back in the days and it only had text in japanese, all vo’s were in english.

I'm mixing it up with RE1 since the script was written in japanese first and then translated to english, which is why the cadence is so goofy in that. Plus they didn't have the best recording director obviously. The actors didn't even understand what they were even in as far as I know.

The OG title crawl is legit legendary. And it's genuine sacrilege to change it, especially with some mentally ill man who thinks he's Lady from from DMC.

Unfortunately it's not in the mainstream enough for enough people to speak out about it. And Steam is already deleting reviews on RE1 calling it out. There was a few I was keeping tabs on and they're gone now as they had a very high engagement rate with comments.

Capcom has made it known they don't give a fuck about the PS1 era so they're not bending the knee at all for this.
