Ain't helping your case, nigga.

If you gave examples, maybe, but your own existence is evidence that the positivity for RC's state in Requiem wasn't universal.

Never insinuated it was. Just poking fun at "fans" who complained about that in "The Final Chapter" but would go on to praise it when RE9 did it.

Look, Pumpkin, I know you are a great retard and you are in a hurry to get in a shitflinging contest but I just had one with Zenos over the knife in RE4R and even I need a short break from those.

I already made my case

You disappear after I ran you out of here awhile ago, and the first thing you do is come back and start flinging shit again. Go back under your rock, fatty.

But gave zero examples, effectively pissing in the void.

"ran you out of here"

Ahahahahaahahahahahaha. Fucking hell, man. Really? *Really?* Stick to whining about how Jill Valentine doesn't make your dick hard.

Yet you know the exact argument that made you stop posting here, don't you, fatty? You got owned so hard, you stopped posting in here for at least a year.

Very fat, and very owned.

So let me see if I get this straight...

When the Anderson movies have the characters return to whatever remains of Raccoon City because of some Umbrella base still being there, its called contrived and retarded...

But when the games do the very same, suddenly it gets praised out the ass about how "cool" and "symbolic" and "thematic" it is and shiet?

Also it is kind of insane to still see the games borrowing shit from the Anderson movies even to this day, even if its rare?
Personally, I've always disregarded the movies as garbage that exists purely so Paul Anderson and Mila Jovovovavich can fleece some producers out of a paycheck, and disregarded RE9 as a souless retreading of the hot spots of RE7 and the RE2make.

Hmm, ah ...sounds about right, yes. You are onto something.

A lot of the Anderson movies seemed like they served as a vehicle for "my wife is hot, look at my wife, she is hot" which is true but honestly they're what I would generally call 'fun', not groundbreaking cinema or anything but who the fuck expected that out of a movie based on a video game? Or maybe I'm just blinded by nostalgia because I saw them when they released and I was just excited to see RE characters on the big screen, even if they were woefully mischaracterized and doing retarded shit or in a location that would have been canonically impossible.

Though they certainly dragged on a while. Not quite on par with The Walking Dead, but Paul milked the fuck out of it.

I played both RE1 Director's cut and then the remake directly afterwards, this month. I played Jill > Chris in the OG, and then Jill normal mode > Chris hard mode in the remake. Both are great games but I am absolutely baffled by how many people I've heard call the remake the definitive experience that replaces the original.
The OG is so damn funny, it's a completely different experience hearing the voice acting in context instead of just in highlight clips. The remake had more beautiful backgrounds but feels less grounded(who's lighting all of these candles?). The addition of extra content in the Remake is generally good, but at the same time the OG ends up feeling very streamlined which I enjoy equally as much. The crimson heads are cool in concept, but in the end I barely had any meaningful interactions with them. Lisa Trevor is aesthetically a cool addition, but mechanically not scary as she's piss easy to avoid. The OG had more branching paths even if the outcomes only ended in a few ways.

I could go on and on, but yeah, it's strange to read people talk about RE2&3 remakes not replacing the original games, but then just follow it up with the thought that RE1's remake does replace the original. I see this sentiment in a lot of youtube comments, I don't know what the sentiment is elsewhere on the internet but I have no reason to feel it would be different elsewhere.
I had the exact opposite experience. Just replayed the directors cut for the first time since I was a kid because there was an autist who kept ranting about how the remake ruined everything, and nah, the og is really, really boring. Yeah everyone remembers the funny voicelines, but for most of the game you're in dead silence or listening to a score that doesn't make it past the build up by the time you load another area. The mansion is also just not as interesting. Many rooms don't lead anywhere or have anything useful, especially on a chris playthrough, the flow of the mansion just isn't there. Not to mention that much of the game looks like something out of MS paint. Its no wonder the original resident evil 2 blew everyone out of the water and is the fan favorite of the OG trilogy, compared to that, RE1 looks so stale.

If you want the definitive experience, REmake 1 all the way. If you want a "funny" version, deadly silence for the DS is a better option. It has way more goofy moments like killing Richard by CPR, zombie cqc, or getting to slap Jill on the ass with stylis. The graphics also look much better on the handheld.

The 4 cg movies are also dumb fun but at least have the artistry of good coreography. They have creative action scenes.
The Anderson movies are unwatchable at times. I will say that the first one is paced well and the laser hall is very memorable and the third one has a cool setting, it inspires a real sense of living in the post apocalypae scavenging. That's about it. Every movie after 3 is dogshit, bad cg, nonsense story that contradicts itself, anachronistic monsters because they start pulling from 5's roster.
Unwatchable.

Funny how you posted the movie that Capcom completely plagiarized in Requiem. Grace was similar to Alice in that she was a template for many clones, even if Capcom pussied out of making Grace herself a clone and making the story as nuanced as it was in Retribution and The Final Chapter. Emily was a disabled clone girl similar to Becky from Retribution, Grace even gets into an argument with Leon over her, just like Alice did in the movie. Leon was given an Alice-like character arc. He even steals one of her one-liners ("I'm not on the menu"). Hell, even Alyssa Ashcroft was based on Alice from the first movie (they have the same name, the same color scheme, similar facial structure, hair color, etc).

This is what Capcom has to resort to to sell their games. Nobody cares about Leon or Chris, people want to see Alice, people want to hear that telltale "My name is Alice" again. However Capcom doesn't have rights to Alice or any other movie character, and they don't want to have attractive women in their games anyway, so they turned Leon into a thirst trap instead. They're doing everything to make Alice canon in the Resident Evil games without actually showing her.

Clearly Capcom disagree with your opinion that Paul W. S. Anderson's adaptation is dogshit. It had a sizable impact on pop culture that you refuse to see.

Dogshit isn't the word, incoherent is, there are no rules, no logic, no real coherent continuity, its just cool stuff for Paul's wife to do so they can fuck later or something, its fine over the top action scenes, but it lacks any weight as a horror game adaptation, Alice is one rung below Dante in terms of protag power.

I would seriously argue they are all pretty decent popcorn movies until the last one. That was REALLY bad and phoned in.

Not just no rules but they often just pretend like the previous one didn't happen. Like they find a serum for the virus like 3 seperate times and then the next movie pretends like that's still the goal. Seriously watch them back to back the continuity errors are staggering. Of course most people will notice that 6 just totally ignores the end of 7 without any explanation.
Like the 2nd to last one ends like this where everyone teams up to fight.... something?
and then the last one Milla waking up in the same place as if the last 20 minutes didn't happen. Plus everything after 3 is nothing but bad cg. They stopped doing any kind of practical effects.

Yeah the continuity was hilariously crap, but it wasn't really an issue till the final chapter. Apparently Capcom rejected their Script which had Jill turn evil and kill leon/Ada. So they just threw up their hands said fuck it and released a cut apart edited mess of a movie out of obligation. It's so bad that continuity of the movie doesn't even work within itself if you ignored everything else and pretended it was in an alt verse.

I suspect the behind the scenes stuntman deaths/injury's really screwed with everyone's ability to care. It was pretty bad.
