Finally got a copy of Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition (I am trying to get physical copies of the RE games I just need 0, Remake 1, 6 and Code Veronica left) I have to say I really love the controls and the aiming is a lot better but the QTEs are a lot easier because most of them are just waggle the controller. The presentation is weird tho, I had to manually set my Wii and TV to widescreen mode (I change it so My gamecube games won't get stretched out) because the game was in a small box and letter boxed .

I've thought about getting it on Wii because I keep hearing how much of a different experience it is. I've already spent $30 on the Switch port though so I think I'll hold off for a while.

Does RE1 on Wii have different controls?
REmake you mean? Not particularly. What's nice about it is that it offers a shitton of controller options; you can use the GameCube controller (which has the same control scheme as the original AFAIK) as well as the Wii remote and nunchuck and the Classic controller. I stick with the Classic controller because I like using the D-pad to play games with tank controls.

I mean does REmake have any pointer controls like RE2?

I was planning on getting the REmake and RE 0 collection for the switch but I opted out because it only has RE 0 on the cart. I hate that capcom does this to their switch collections. I may get the Wii or Gamecube version , I have the digital versions on PS4 but I want physical versions too

Look what I got

Got the original Resident Evil Director's Cut today. Specifically the version that doesn't have that godawful basement music and actually has the original soundtrack (just look for the non-DualShock edition if you're curious). It's funny going to the original since I've spent so long playing the remake that the original comes off as more surprising than it should. There was one moment in particular that actually shocked me; in the bathroom on the first floor there is a tub full of muddy water that you can drain. In the remake, draining this tub has a zombie rise out of it, but in the original, there is no zombie, just a small key (at least in Chris' version). But since I was so familiar with the remake, I was on edge waiting for the tub to drain and spawn a zombie that when it didn't happen it actually left more of an impact.

If you've spent a reasonable amount of time playing the remake, I highly suggest playing the original again because it will put you on edge, especially if it's been a while since you played it.

leon’s also got a dirty mouth in it, so i don’t see billy’s issue with claire’s cussing

He's talking about the English localization, which was, according to your link, handled by David Cockman (is...that a real name? What the ever loving...). Wouldn't be the first time an English dub added unnecessary swears.
Fair enough, but I personally don’t mind too much, since it reminds me of dumbass horror schlock

Also, the guy I linked earlier is a turbosped who’s gaming library consists almost entirely of fanservice games, ecchi games, hentai games and pornmodded games. Half his articles on the game are about Ada and Claire porn mods https://www.oneangrygamer.net/tag/resident-evil-2-remake/

No, I understood. I just think you and the other dude were weirdly incel about it.

Of course, I'm an incel because I don't like claire nu-personality.

Og claire, strong but feminine. Nu claire is your typical ''Hur dur gurl power'' tomboy protagonist.

I'll even give you 2 examples, so maybe you can stop acting like a clueless catgirl:

Look at her hesitation upon first seeing the monster and then she reassures Steve that she'll handle the monster and come back to help him. None of that ''fuck yeah I got this bitch'' ''I exactly know what this is, piece of cake hurr durr''
Just a focused stare towards the monster, to express her resolve.

2nd example:

You don't see her trying to antagonize Wesker, like Nu-claire did with Irons in reimagining2, because Young Og Claire is a smart girl. She usually knows better, than to try to antagonize someone who could very easily kill her, when she is at a disadvantage.
Nu-Claire is so stupid, that she straight up insults someone who is a psycho, has her at tied up at gun point and literally has no reason to let her live, other than plot armor: ''Yeah, my brother will kick your ass, you fat fuck, you'll see!!!1!''

People cussing and acting like frightened normal humans in an apocalyptic nightmare, how dare they.

Cussing serves a purpose if it's earned. when it's used like in reimagine this 2, it just feels childish.
Guess what? we already had some cussing in the first remake as well, but since it was used very sparsely, it felt earned and fitted well:

Hope I was able to make myself more clear this time.
