Yes, C is pretty much just Throw a bunch of the old virus into one Literally, and then add in Weskers sons anti bodies, and you get THE SUPER Version that just shrugs and Laughs in Serial Escalation.

Mind you that only one of the ways the super C virus does it's thing.

Have I mention I love RE6 because of it's Wacky as hell Virus.

I already ranted in this thread on how the law of conservation of mass is just penetrated anally by this series, especially in the later entries.

Since I've been hearing mostly mediocre things I decided not to buy the game, and because I wanted to watch the This Is How You Don't Play (worth watching btw) I decided to not care about spoilers. I have several questions.

  1. I remember people complaining that Jill doesn't go to the RPD. I assumed it had been cut, so I was surprised to see it was a Carlos section. Why all the bitching if it's still in the game?
  2. The nemesis turning into a giant dog was a surprise, but is it just me or does it makes him less intimidating because he wouldn't be able to follow you in doors?
  3. I was told Brad survives, but in the TIHYDP it's heavily implied he dies off screen holding back a horde of zombies. Which is it?
  4. The clocktower Nemesis fight makes Phil stop playing the game until the chat tell him how to beat the boss. How obvious is it you have to use the mines against him?

Phil points out something I hadn't noticed and I've not seen mentioned elsewhere. All the major characters seem to be based off of real life celebrities. Carlos looks a bit like Keanu Reeves, Nikolai looks a lot like Christopher Meloni, etc. It's really distracting. What do you think of it?

1. Because it was Jill's section originally and she has a bigger connection to the RPD, being an officer herself. They wasted a ton of potential by not having her meet with Marvin, for instance. It also would have lengthened the game considerably.
2. After that point, you only ever fight him in boss battles anyway, so it doesn't matter.
3. He doesn't die initially. He's zombified (which doesn't kill you) after he gets bitten trying to protect Jill. He tuns offscreen and ends up being the one to bite Marvin. He can later be put down by Carlos in the RPD.
4. Not really sure. I've only ever seen people use the mines in that section. Don't know how much the game telegraphs that strategy.

Hope that answers that questions. As for the redesigns, I just hate them for how different they look from their original incarnations (and how generic Jill looks in general; she could easily pass for second reboot Lara Croft). If its true that they are based on celebrities, it wouldn't be the first time Capcom did it. The RE Outbreak cast were based on celebrities too. The subway worker guy (forget his name) was based on Dennis Rodman, for instance.

Not feeling excited about the RE4 Remake. I just bought the original yet again for the PS4, still holds up pretty well and i'm gonna 100% it here as i did with most of the other platforms. Only way they'll get my money is by releasing the exact same game but with even more unlockables and more characters for Mercenaries

Also dont fuck with the dialogue, i need my campy Leon one liners. The second i hear a character say Jesus or Fuck im going back to the original

Saddler, you're fucking small time!

I can agree with the sentiment. That said I still want my villagers swearing up a storm though. Maybe Leon can get a couple of passes after seeing the cop's charred corpse and MIIIIIIIIIIIIKE!

RE 4, like Half Life 2, is one of those games that there isnt much to improve even for today's standarts. Its what I say when a game managed to become so memorable, so universally loved that it becomes timeless. RE 4 is a timeless game that can be enjoyed almost by everyone. Very few games are able to become milemarks in gaming. A remake for RE4 is like remaking HL2, sure it could be done...but should it?

Only if the remake attempt is more like MMod and less like Cinematic Mod and its FULLY TEXTURED "improvements."

Oh come on. How is that something new? Leon is based on Leonardo Di Caprio ffs. Steve from RE Code Veronica also looked so similar to Leonardo that his hairstyle was changed because Fans complained about it.

Resident Evil 3 Remake for me has been great, mainly because I didnt expect much. I knew it was going to be cut short as the RE2 Remake had some areas from the original game cut. And in all RE3 Nemesis was never considered Resident Evils best, it's Resident Evils less ugly middle child in the series.

Now all that aside I have been playing Resident Evil Resistance and that game is great. I've been having a lot of fun playing as both Survivors and Masterminds, it's extremely satisfying to kill a bunch of Survivors with all the monsters. I really hope they continue to add more, like maybe Wesker and Marcus.

I played RE 2 quite a bit and when I played REmake 2 I can't think of much that was cut.
I'm pretty sure it was just Spiders, Crows, and the Marhsalling Yard, maybe zombies puking if you like semantics. The sewer was expanded though because of no Marshalling Yard. Ivy were on the cusp of being cut too, but someone fought to keep them
in.

They're really trying to give this game legs and its better than I thought, they did carve out a playerbase it seems like. Nikolai is being added as a mastermind next and it would be neat to see if they have him with Nemesis. If they brought RE1 Wesker with Tyrant that would be cool.

Almost the entire intro sequence was replaced.

Unrelated, I’m currently replaying RE4. I’ve only ever beat it once way back in 2005. I never realized how useful having a rifle is to succeed. I’m at Salazar’s castle right now and the rifle is generally proving more useful than the shotgun considering the wide-open rooms give you so much maneuverability around the enemies.

The stuff with the intro is in there, but it just got thrown way later into the game and split between Leon and Claire. Its after you open gate in the RPD and Leon gets Kendo+the billboard area, and Claire gets the Basketball Court+City Street and the Bus. Maybe thats me being an apologist.

That did make me remember that Brad also got cut, even if there is a poster of him.
