Edit: Reminds me. I find Chris/Piers ship uncomfortable and ridiculous (no, not because it's gay) and that shit was all over reddit and I had to unfollow an artist because he wouldn't stfu about it. But like...I wasn't harassing anybody and throwing tantrums over it.

So where is Resident Evil: Village supposed to take place?

I watched the preview or whatever it's called and the primary handgun is the CZ RAMI (Called LEMI in the in game inventory).

That's a pretty obscure gun, can we expect it takes place in eastern europe?

Sorry I really don't follow Resident Evil lore, but I do like surival horror games.

The RE team loves obscure weapons, so wouldn't count on the weapon make reflecting the gameplay location.

I don't believe they disclosed where in Europe, only that it's in 'Europe' and there'll be a castle. Basically they're doing the same thing they did RE4, that it takes place in a non-specific location in Europeland where there's Europe stuff and Europe things. Which is the smart thing to do as it allows them flexibility on what can and can't be there.

Has anybody heard anything solid about RE4 being remade? I swear I've heard rumors somewhere that it's on Capcom's list of games to (re)release.

RE4 did take place in Spain (IIRC), it's just that they never told you where in Spain it takes place. Which is why I said they're doing the same thing in RE8 they did in RE4. Give a location but not be too specific where it could be.

The mexican-spanish thing was due to not having voice actors who spoke proper spanish so they went with mexican-spanish.

I think you really need lax standards to get anything out of ORC. Its kind of janky and doesn't really go anywhere. The multiplayer was fun back when it came out but I doubt anyone is still playing.
 
So has the identity of the third organization that Wesker was working for during the Code Veronica-RE4 perio ever been officialy revealed because it seems as if it’s a toss up between Tricell, the Family, and the Connections

The prevailing theory is that it's Romania, which I'd be willing to bet is the case.

RE4 was clearly set in Spain, Luiz mentions being a Madrid policeman for one example, you weren't paying very close attention if you didn't realize it was Spain.

Wesker during Code Veronica and RE4 was working for H.C.F, the Hive/Host Capture Force, which was the special operations division of Umbrella's rival company which has always been unnamed.

H.C.F is referenced in 7's Not a Hero DLC, so it can be assumed whatever company they are a part of is still around and maybe is part of The Connections.
