Looks interesting. I never did see any of the previous CG movies, but they all looked like they were trying to emulate the over-the-top action of RE5 and 6, which didn't interest me. This meanwhile looks like it's trying for something closer to RE7 or REmake 2.

The first CG movie is the closest they got to old RE stuff (even then not by much), but the sequels were just dumb action stuff with gunkata nonsense and trying way too hard to be cool.

The last one, Vendetta, started really strongly but properly jumped the shark towards the end. They really need to focus on the horror aspect, not trying to emulate John Wick crossed with Michael Bay. And where is Jill Dammit? Still, poster looks good

I'd say RE3make was more a disappointment than an embarrassment. It had a few moments, but so did RE6 and honestly, I think RE6's moments were more enjoyable.

Eh. Too many walky-talkey bits for such a short game. The cool moments people talk about were memorable but not a game I wanna replay on harder difficulties since that means replaying the prologue and the forced walking bit again. Can't say it was bad, just...eh.

It's just weird they had to rush it with Remake3 considering how much Capcom loves milking the Raccoon city destruction, which was basically the golden time of this franchise. They spent so much money on hyping up RE2R but this was literally announced after the cover art been leaked 4 months before the release...Maybe if all those ambassadors and youtubers actually did something useful about it instead of calling people "sexist" for not liking new Jill's ugly haircut, we could have had a proper remake without cut content and maybe something like Outbreak instead of that Resistance garbage literally nobody liked. At least 6 was more in line with continuity and moved the franchise forward. And there's literally nothing I liked about new Jill. She sucks and her fans are toxic (including Suzy).

Why's it so fucking hard to properly adapt Resident Evil? The first three games are easy to turn into movies (you'd have to do some finagling with the first given that Jill and Chris' campaigns are basically identical, but it wouldn't be that tough). It ain't rocket science, just make a cheesy B-movie horror movie with body horror and zombies that follows the story of the games.

Only good zombie movie I have seen in this era is Overlord and it had a great COD Nazi Zombies feel to it.

I believe it because the movies are made by people who never played the video games and these days I don't trust Hollywood anyways to make a decent movie without wokeshit.

It seems like the skull on the old woman's staff in the RE8 Trailer has a symbol that looks similar to the Los Iluminados symbol carved into it.

So when she says "They are coming again!" It could mean the return of the Los Iluminados. Which could be the reason RE8 has a few similarities to RE4. The question is how the events of RE7 and Ethan & Mia fit into it.
