Zoe simps hating on Mia are hilarious. I think the whole "choose your waifu" thing is pointless, but Mia is an obvious choice for Ethan, why would he choose a random girl he know fuckton nothing about who was only using him to escape over his wife who obviously cares for him?
Maybe Ethan should have been just a random guy the Bakers kidnapped.
Are we even sure Lady Dimitrescu is a Tyrant?

IIRC, she became a vampire (or B.O.W equivalent thereof) in the 1950's according to the official lore and the T-Virus wasn't a thing until the 1970's, with the Tyrant project beginning in the late 80's or early 90's.

Unless we get some twist that she's the inspiration for the Tyrant and that House Dimitrescu and the other Houses had ties to Spencer or the Ashfords, I doubt we'll see the T-Virus come into play except for maybe to explain the zombies in certain segments.
She's not, neither is Alexia, apparently

This was the scrapped idea for a female tyrant in Zero.

But regardless, I don't believe t-virus is related to what's going on in Village or the fridge lady. They maybe expanded upon the lore like 4 did.

The only reason why I could see T-Virus coming up at all in Village is to explain the classic zombie enemies but even those could be done by another mutagenic agent.

Anyone expecting to see a Tyrant or even hunters in RE8 will be very disappointed.

That's weird because she definitely reminds me of a Tyrant, despite the vampire angle.

My guess though (and please don't spoil anything based on leaks without marking them at least) is House Dimitrescu is who's been pulling the strings all along, Spencer and Ashford were just lackeys and it's possible Lady Dimitrescu has been the Big Boss behind everything this whole time, including stuff we thought was sperate like "The Connections" referenced in 7, like a "It was me, Dio!" thing.

That may not be the case but an Umbrella logo is seen all the way back in the first trailer implying there's some connection.

But on a side note, as I've said before I think it'd be cool if Capcom actually confirms Haunting Ground as part of the RE world as has always been rumored, while HG leans a little more towards the supernatural, it still revolves around alchemy and the line gets blurrier between science and supernatural in RE as it goes on and I can see a reference being made to "house Belli" even as just an Easter egg, but as I've also said before, even if Capcom doesn't do that they should ripoff HG entirely for RE9 and go full on giallo, set it in Italy and have the theme being monsters made by alchemy in a castle that's not just gothic but designed by a madman with a surrealist edge ala HG.

I'm liking the fact that RE seems to tackle a new type of horror genre/folklore with every new entry.

Given the type of shit on the internet I'm fairly certain that Lady Dimitrescu turning into some horrific abomination won't stop people from whacking to her anyway.

Her Sniper Kat Six days weren't that much different now, but it was Ren who introduced me to her in the first place (That's another story altogether, and he was a major simp for her and few other female streamers). Plus it was years later and random chance that the reason she changed her name was from another one of her drama shitstorms, but dunno if I can take credit for jumpstarting that start of retardation when I've made my exit. Which I was cutting during in the middle of her streams right after I've posted on her shit Claire cosplay on Twitter which it was my last words to her was "I have seen better". It wasn't just aimed at her cosplay but her in general. But holy shit, her keepings on repeating lore streams over and over again instead of doing the right thing and turn them into a seasonal session which she just drones on and on and fucking on that it made me want to peel the temples off of my skull.
Do you know what "in-depth" lore streams she's on about?
It's not that she has to dive deep into the lore, nobody expects that from a community manager, but she's the one who claims to know some "top secret" info Capcom employees told her.
Maybe that's why she's so pissy with the lore guys and translators. I heard she worked on the localization for RE3, so she's aiming higher than a mere CM.

If anything that is bound to be someone fetish somewhere. It's like a version of rule 34. If it exists, it's someone fetish.

That's new one about her claiming she was on the localization, but it would explain some of the cringey tumblr-esque dialogue.
But her deep diving into lore, never. Even when she was doing lore streams was just the basic shit from in-game, promotion material, and so on and I'm sure Capcom's still keeping some things away from her as they should, right after her poor displays in the RE2 and RE3 demo promotion showcases.

I wonder if Lady D's mutated form isn't a vampire-esque creature but more like the Demonic figure on the gate.

I wouldn't be surprised if this scene is some kind of foreshadowing for the final boss fight.

More information on Lady D and her daughters.
Bela, the oldest daughter, is quiet and has a strong head on her shoulders. Cassandra is a sadist who enjoys killing. Daniela is the youngest daughter, and is the craziest and most delusional of the three.

The original RE8 concept was 100 mostly naked (!) witches in a castle hunting Ethan. Wtf.
“The concept started out as a castle with a hundred witches inside, but that was hard to implement into a videogame format, which is why we ended up making it like this,”
According to Takano, the hundred witches in the original concept were to be mostly naked.
To be fair this was the planning stage & the team was encouraged to come up with unusual ideas:
In order to guide the series into bold new directions, Sato says that in the planning stages he encouraged the team to try out as many unusual ideas as possible. “We are not the type of team that starts with a niche idea and starts expanding on that little by little,” Sato explains. “When trying out new ideas, we start by pursuing something extreme. As we progress, the idea usually starts deviating from pure horror. So in the end we have to bring the experience back to horror.”
A giant countess and her three creepy daughters is what that idea became once the team “brought it back to horror.”
I actually like this approach for creating unique characters & themes.

Also the game designers got inspired by the Addams family which is awesome.
Lady Dimitrescu is not just a tall vampire-like dominant woman. Her fashion was inspired by styles from the 1960s, and Takano hopes that this will differentiate her from other gothic villains. “I felt that just doing a gothic aesthetic would be a bit lacking in originality, which is why I wanted to add a modern idea to that premise,” Takano explains. “We looked at fashion from the era in which actresses like Audrey Hepburn were active, as well as The Addams Family. We used these sources as hints to create a less conventional gothic setting.”

Here’s how you cull the community convince Capcom to go back to it’s call of duty focus with stuff like operation raccoon city etc.

Man, who knew Castle Anthrax would ever be suggested as a setting for a horror game?

Okay, obligatory Monty Python reference over, that's a pretty good link you've posted up. Thanks for the info.

How long before Capcom adds Lady Dementia Raven Way to Re:verse?
That shit is apparently worse than Resistance
