TLDR: community is autistic and shitty. It's pseudo Pay 2 Win with a lot of grinding for perks to balance out the game as killer. Devs have nerfed several obnoxious survivor perks and are closing in on fixing all the maps. Playing killer has a very, very, VERY steep learning curve.

Assets for the RE4 remake leaked in the Ragnar Group ransomware attack a few months ago. As I can't find any mirrors of the site that had these uploaded, I've attached them below. Until this reveal I wasn't quite sure if these were for the Oculus project or for a separate remake but the quality of the assets in the Oculus reveal trailer (pretty much identical to standard RE4) cemented these as belonging to the RE4 remake.

I saw Mutahar play it but jesus fucking christ, is he goddamn annoying or what? If I wanted to hear nothing but dude for 30 minutes, I'd have just played it myself. Plus, I can't stand people that don't pay attention to the words on the screen.

Other than that, god it looks fucking fantastic. The village is just dripping with atmosphere and unease. I'm really excited to see all of the other locations. I'm almost overwhelmed by how dense it might possibly be.

Played the demo on ps4 and the graphics are f a n t a s t i c. I'm getting the game for pc tho. The feeling is also very RE-4ish which I like. The enemies look gross as fuck and I like the part in the field where you can't see them but you know they are creeping around. They could be from Bloodborne because they look like beasts at the beginning of transformation. Also there is an "End of Zoey"-esque crystallisation going with them.

Muta was the first person I watched play it and yeah he really wouldn't shut the fuck up, made it hard to hear the dialogue.

I pre-ordered the game earlier. This'll be the first Resident Evil I've actually played so the demo felt a little overwhelming for me too but I'm also loving the atmosphere.
