Spoilers ahead. I like Ethan as a character.

Im no stranger to torture porn, but fuck man, I played 3 hours so far and Ethan needs a FUCKING break. He gets impaled, arrow to the shin, loses some fingers, loses his good hand, loses his wife and just fuck. You guys are doing my man so dirty.
Wait till you see the end, I legit sobbed.
Plotholes aside, his character arc is my favorite part about this game.

I knew they were a shill as soon as they were instantly making excuses for Cyberpunk 2077 and saying how fun it was regardless and how we should just trust the development team to improve it over time.

As for REVIIIage, been watching a frustrating walkthrough by some guy on YouTube named Shirrako. Dude is just running through everything and too concerned with trying to beat the game before everyone else, I guess.

The atmosphere is fantastic but it still seems a little too linear and action oriented for my taste, tbh. I thought you could tackle the houses in whatever order but that's my fault for assuming. Plus, the amount of damage Ethan can withstand is fucking ridiculous in all honesty. Just wait and see just how magical chem fluids can be without spoiling too much.
It’s less the chem fluid doing crazy shit and more all the injuries redlining his, retconned to being dead since Jack merced you at the start of 7, body the point of it disintigrating at the end. FFS Miranda ripped out his heart.

Curb your expectations once you get to the tanker level as the game kinda goes downhill at that point.
Ain't that the fucking truth. It's not so bad the first time you play it, but every time after that is a grind. The one VHS tape in the game that you can't skip, and it brings the game to an ass grinding halt.

I'm not giving that failed ewhore troon any traffic, but I am morbidly curious enough to ask if she basically ended up shilling the game with her review? Or does she actually have a non-shitty, well thought out take on it for once in her life?
A good rule of thumb is that anyone with a prerelease copy is a shill until proven otherwise. Early access and goodies are two of the main ways they bribe reviewers without blatantly paying them off. This is especially true when dealing with youtubers who benefit financially from making videos as early as possible.

The "100 naked witches in a castle" makes a lot more sense when you realize they were probably trying to invoke a lot more of the old Renaissance-era folklore about witches and some of the earlier and less known works in the Gothic tradition.

As for RE8, I'm hyped as fuck and I also have to admit that I like the fact Lady Dimitrescu goes for the mid-20th Century fashions of the 1950's and 1960's as opposed to just wearing the same old cliched Victorian or Edwardian aesthetics seen in Gothic horror.

It makes sense lore-wise as well, since Lady Dimitrescu became a vampire back in the 1950's.

She is supposedly 90 years old. Looking like that, Lord have mercy. Forget her height, her age and marketing sold me.

If it's more action oriented like Resident Evil 4, that may interest me.

I've played RE5 and 6; they were not doing it for me. Resident Evil 7 is on Game Pass. What is that gameplay loop like?

7 is much less combat focused and much more like RE1/2, lots of item management and running away to save ammo. Village is like a more action focused 7 but not full action game like 5 or 6. I'd say check out 7, it's pretty darn great in terms of atmosphere.

Just beat it. Was surprised how vampire milf wasn't the best villain in the game. If I were to rank them in terms of personality and how entertaining they were on screen it'd probably be Heisenberg>Moreau>Doll Lady=Vapire Milf
How long did it end up being and would you recommend it?

Would you say the villains lives up to her namesake? No spoilers.

My first playthrough took about 8 hours on normal. As to whether or not you should buy at full price I cannot say for certain since I don't know how much 60 bucks means to you. If it's not gonna break the bank and you liked 7 then I'd reccomend it. I personally had a great time with it, the atmosphere wasn't quite as great as 7 but that could just be my personal love for swamp horror.

Not sure if I understand what you mean but for the most part yes. I liked Moreau and Heisenberg the most because they were not what I was expecting really in terms of personality.

I mean, we know she looks great. That's an understated fact. What of her personality and role in the story and gameplay?

Is she seen? Is she just a voice?

You mean the vampire lady or the doll lady? Both are seen. I don't know what you count as a spoiler but both the vampire and doll lady are pretty early on in the game.

Who's the tall lady? I'm guessing she's the vampire. Do you recommend playing 7 before 8?

From I see, 7 is more resource management and exploration than combat. And puzzles.

It still has a decent amount of combat, especially in the last 3rd of it but yeah it's much more like a spiritual reboot trying to recapture the feel of RE1.

That would be the vampire lady, yeah. I would really recommend playing 7 before 8, the story of 8 is no masterpiece but it's made better by playing through 7 first.
What were your favorite guns, and how is the Mercenaries mode if you’ve had the time to fiddle with it?
