Haven't really been following the fanart scene for REVillage. Has there been any verdict on Lady D now that the game is out?

She's only in the game for like thirty minutes, maybe an hour. She's not even hot, and if it weren't for the prerelease marketing I wouldn't have guessed she'd be a fan favorite. Her daughters are hot, and it would have been fun to see more of them, even if I can't tell any of them apart. And Lady D herself isn't a shit character by any means - just doesn't seem that special, or at least, seems under-utilized.

I've been seeing isolated reports of D fans who feel they were lied to, but how big is the backlash, really? Has the fandom been disillusioned by the game, or is D still Queen Bowsette II?

Also it’s the section of the game where you literally have no way to defend yourself. All you can do is run and hide.

I dunno, “propeller engine with legs” isn’t exactly the most super specific and unique idea that only one person could ever come up with it.

I avoided all talk of the game until I completed it
but do wonder if there is any backlash, as her castle could have been an entire game in itself, but feels like it's over too soon. Not that there's anything wrong with the other 3 bosses, but she was the most memorable.

Something else that I have wondered is why
they never reveal Ethan's face when there's nothing special about it. In RE7 that makes sense since it's all in first person, but hiding it in the ending cutscenes of 8 seems a bit odd. I assumed they'd give you a proper view of him just before he dies, but even the unlockable model has it hidden.

I dunno why they had to censor so much religious stuff for the localisation, it's in line with Miranda's character. She actually has more depth in the original, showing grief for her daughter turned her to fanatism.

Which is weird cause they didn't shy away from it in other ways, NPCs doing a pray and the pictures that are "totally not Mary and Jesus guys" scattered around
 
Did anyone find that it was fun but kind of... not satisfying in terms of puzzle difficulty? Felt more about just finding the key than figuring out hte solution

yeah, the religious motif is all over the place, so why remove the Black God? It actually fixes Miranda imo. She's no longer the highest religious authority in the Village

edit: correction. Not religious in general, just the pagan stuff were edited out.
