Okay what the hell is wrong with Infinete Darkness? It wants to be a series, but has the base structure of a movie, it drops the middle part of the plot and goes straight to the lackluster finale that ultimatly does not change or add anything to the games. It's not infuriating but it just is bad.

Yep, it was pretty poor. Felt very much like a film chopped into 4 parts, dull plot, ending makes no sense and Claire was completely worthless.

Constantin Film hold the rights. They make all kinds of money on the film rights alone and lose nothing if the show is a failure.

Just picked 4 up off of Steam for like 5 bucks. Blasted through the game again in less than a couple of days, still have to complete the Ada side story, and play the game on expert mode for the sake of the challenge.
I love this game and I actually never played any of the other titles in the franchise. After I'm done this playthrough I'm going to be playing through the rest of the games for sure. I had RE4 when it was ported to the Wii, which the motion control did add some flavor to the gameplay, but I do prefer the gamepad since I finally played the HD remake. Overall great fucking game, first time in months I've had the ability to sit-down and play some games.

RE:Verse, perhaps? That seems most likely, unless RE:8 itself is getting additional DLC.

I wonder if ID was meant to be a forth CG film before Capcom cut its budget, so they released it as a Netflix series. I mean, Leon looks way too damn old and Claire's bits seem shoehorned like she was never meant to be there?
But yeah, sadly a disappointing "Meh". Not really "horror" driven like the trailers promised, nor a cheesy video game action fest (I do love the CG trilogy, yeah it's a pointless filler but at least fun). I mean, this is the boss fight in Vendetta:

I'm sure they put that ending scene in there just to try and get fans to stop trying to bring this up. But Leon would rather ship the new Asian chick
who kills hundreds of people on that sub, but that's all forgotten about and she's actually a good guy because she's trying to save her brother. Then her house gets blown up, but it's never revealed who did it. Jason kills her for no reason, then a few minutes later has Leon in the exact same position but just throws him down because of plot armour.

As Raiken already pointed out, the DLC was announced as part of the game itself, so it’s going to be story-related. Capcom also said it was completely unplanned. They’re probably basing it (or at least some of it) around all the positive reception the lords got. I really don’t see much else they could do with Chris unless they include cut content or create a whole new scenario.

Take it with a grain of salt, as I'm just a stranger on the internet, but I took a survey feeling out (potential) customers for RE8 DLC. It was shortly after E3, and by the sounds of it, they were being honest about not having any plans for it beforehand.
It was all very basic stuff trying to nail down what people even wanted - e.g. new game modes, more story, a new campaign, and whatever the fuck else. They were even trying to feel out action vs horror and the like. Unless it was just old when I got to it, I don't expect anything on the DLC for a little while.
But I'm just a jabroni who got paid like fifty cents to take it, and they may have been farther along than they seemed. I don't have any special ~insider connections~ so feel free to assume this is fake and/or gay.
