So everybody, which series had the worse movies? Silent Hill or Resident Evil?
The Silent Hill director made a fuss about bringing a PlayStation onto the set. Fans fell over themselves praising him for staying true to the games. The community are willing to split hairs or overlook quite a lot.

Okay, so I finished RE2 remake.

I actually really enjoyed it by the end. Once I got into the swing of things and started making progress as opposed to slapping my balls against the early game brick wall it's a pretty fun experience. 100% not my sort of game; but still a fun experience.

Curious, does the Switch version of Resident Evil 4 have gyro aiming?

It's on sale for $15, and the idea of it having that feature sounds sort of wonderful.

I long took peace in that only the games can be good. Come to think of it, is there anything residnet evil related outside the games that is worth checking out?
Well there's fan games, which can be a mixed bag. I know there was a discontinued card game, though I'd wager it was probably shit.

It really is a story of two halves.

After your third visit to the station, it's pretty much on rails. Mr. X may show up in the greenhouse, but those Groot motherfuckers are the real enemy.

Oh, well thanks for saving me $15. Gyro should've been a no-brainer for this sort of game.
I googled it out of curiosity to make sure I didn't just miss anything, and apparently 5 and 6 both have gyro but not 4. Which is confusing given that 4 had a port with motion controls.

That does seem pretty backwards, unless they did the 5 & 6 ports after 4.

I suppose I'll keep those two in mind if I ever feel like wanting to play them on the go, but it's still a shame about 4.

I'm honestly amazed that the original 1-3 aren't on Steam. It couldn't be that hard to port them, and the PC versions were great. RE1 was the fully uncensored version, RE2 had a bunch of bonus material and RE3 had all the costumes and modes unlocked from the start.

Those original games should at least see another major re-release in general. The last one they received was for the PS3's PSN like 10 years ago, and that was almost shut down this year.

What's the opinion on Revelations 2? Because surprisingly, its been really good. Currently on ep 3 and im digging the flow. Feels like a scary version of 4 with a Coop/controllable Ashley. Gameplay feels fresh and interesting.
Revelations 2 is special to me because I had written the series off as dead after RE6, REV2 was what convinced me the series still had some life left.

And finally being able to play as Barry "Hairy" Burton was awesome.

Pft! Where's everyone going? Bingo?!
Don't worry Ashley, I'm coming for ya!

I think the thing with RE movies is, after the first one, we all got a good idea of what any sequel would be like. So RE fans enjoy them knowing full well it's a trash fire, but an enjoyable trash fire.

Well, most. I hated the movies.

I feel like the CGI animated Leon films are mostly good, probably better then the live action ones to the average fan. Although they all have a certain charm to me. (Except Final chapter)

Your forgetting the other franchise that tended to release opposite the RE movies. Kate Beckinsale's Underworld. Now that is a franchise Id love to compare and see if they did a better or worse job.

As a side note this was kinda cool. https://twitter.com/Nik_apostolides/status/1415013512816955394?s=20

They definitely did a really great job with the atmosphere and tension. I can legit see this being a scary experience for some Coop players.

And yes the best parts of the game so far are seeing Barry go full "Taken" on some zombies as he tries to piece together what the hell is going on.

LeeOOOOOOOON!!!!!

The CGI films after the first one is some of the best fan service schlock. Like it's cheesy enough I'm not bored and cringing like say FF7AC. Airport movie though is just bad, but it was redeemed with retarded licker vs super tyrant fights in the sequel.

The innocent human casualties Leon and Chris alone cause in Resident Evil Vendetta was worth that film alone
(Leon kicking cerberus' into family mini vans on the free way, causing huge explosions. Leon shooting a rail gun through a sky scraper, probably full of survivors hiding from the streets below, just to kill one monster that probably would of died from the rain lololol)

So yeah I looked forward and enjoyed the netflix show. I pretty much guessed the entire plot after the first episode but overall its fun. More impressed how far they've come visually, even though Claire looked like she walked out of the original movie.
