it isn't that Alfred is literally supposed to be trans, can't expect SJWs to understand nuance though.
These are the same people that praised the FF7 remake cross-dressing part as if it’s “new” or “brave”, even though it was in the original and the whole point was it was a disguise lmao. They aren’t too bright.

I should not be as thirsty over a video game character as Claire makes me.
I’m won over. She’s good-natured, sassy and has a planet-sized heart. Which is funny since I prefer Leon’s scenario in the original.

Jordan McEwan looks much closer to the original than Jill does.

I liked RE3make. The dodge mechanic is fun but insanely broken. I didn't pay for it, so I didn't have 60 bucks worth of expectations, but I think the bitching people do is a tad unwarranted.

I agree. I just feel weird actually saying so since Remake Claire is so closely based on an actual flesh and blood model that's a good decade my junior and it makes me feel like a dirty old man to talk about it.

In regards to Jill- I'm surprised they didn't keep using Julia Voth as the model. It's basically the Jill we've known and expected for 20 years. Weird that she looks different in one remake from another remake.

When you take away the RNG factor and branching paths, it becomes something else.

It's really the sort of thing only old-timers will notice, and Capcom knows this. Hence why, every time you encounter Nemesis, it's "suck it bitch", "c'mon bitch", "You want some fucker".

From what I've read, it's a combination of Capcom not renewing her contact, the perception that Voth has 'aged out' of the role (I know); plus they use modelling agencies based in Tokyo, and the agency tells Capcom who to use, which sounds a bit sketchy but whatever.

I played 3 as a kid but frankly, it was never one I replayed. I wound up replaying 1, 2 and 4 the most, but both CV and RE3 just felt bland to me. I'll be honest, I don't know every little thing they changed since it's been so long since I played the OG, but the game in itself was fun and I wouldn't mind having the option to use the dodge in future RE games.

I liked it too, I just wish there was more to it.

It really is bullshit that they left out the clock tower, yes it's a brief area but it still adds a lot as a fun little homage to the Spencer mansion, it would have been the first time we saw a place like that in the RE engine, I would have liked to see that and less of the hospital, which is overlong and a totally generic looking area.

Other than that I liked it though.

I pretty much expect to dislike a portion of every RE game, the hospital did suck though. RE2 has the entire ending / sewers, RE3 had the hospital, RE4 the island. I guess 7 didn't have anything I hated outright, but 8 has the whole wasted potential lake section.

edit: RE1, anything laboratory related

It pisses me off that Eveline can summpn the freighter from an attic. Come on.

The hospital is faithful to the original, at least.

With 3make, they dispensed with the good parts, and kept the bland ones.

Guys, quick question about REmake - in some rooms I'm finding already dead zombies, I never killed them because I'm trying to avoid the most and burning those few I kill.
Should I burn those already dead guys too? Do I risk them becoming Crimsons?

I think those guys turn into Crimsons no matter what you do. 🤔 The good news is, it's a moot point: Crimsons are easily evaded and they get replaced with Hunters.

I hope so, I'm still getting used to the commands so I am a retard with vanilla zombies too lol.
That said, this dead guy is right outside the medical saferoom, I'll prob burn him to be better safe than sorry.

Crimson Heads are a cool concept, but not utilized too well. After all, you visit most rooms only once.

There is the 'murder hallway' (the one with the mirror) which is easy to bypass and the U-shaped corridor in the east wing. I'm not sure if Crimsons can outrun you, but they start out by playing possum, so you're in and out before they even start to jog. If Capcom ever brings back the Crimsons in large numbers, it will be a truly scary thing. As it stands, there's not enough of them to warrant the hassle of getting kerosene.

7 has the boat, which is one of the most miserable slogs in any RE game since it goes on for so long rather than being brief.

But yeah, it seems like it's just a common thing with most horror games that you're going to have that one part that's a pain to get through, in Silent Hill 1 and 3 there are the sewer levels, Silent Hill 2 has the labyrinth, RE2 Remake keeps the proud tradition alive with it's sewer level (seriously devs, stop with sewer levels, it's never fun), the final factory level in the original RE3 is a pain, especially that awful water purity puzzle, the final industrial type area in RE0 isn't much fun either.

However I can't think of any areas in REmake that bother me, same with the original RE2, which does have the sewer section but it's brief, but for the most part yeah, that is one downside with horror games.

I'm pretty sure they become Crimson Heads, I've always burned them just to be safe.

3 was always my least favorite. Honestly I feel it should have been the spinoff and Code Veronica should have been RE3. RE3 always felt like an expansion pack for RE2.

I like 3 a lot but there's so little to the story as far as the overall series goes, Code Veronica meanwhile has a much more important story, it is indeed very bizarre that 3 is not the spin off and CV is not 3.

3 has a worthy idea in showing more of Raccoon City after 2 showed so little beyond the police station, but they weren't able to come up with enough of a story reason why for another game set there other than revealing the city's ultimate fate, it feels like an expansion pack like you said.
