Elon musk already has the tech stack required to run a registry (in fucking ORBIT where even the feds can't seize it) and pays 75K to flush the toilets in his facilities every day.

Anyone have a way to get word to him that a proper registry is needed for freedom of expression?

I wish I had known Null tried to go to namesilo; The writing on the wall for them was several years ago. I seem to recall that they nixed a domain of a guy who made fag jokes on YouTube around 2017.

The easiest way to tell how supportive tech companies are is to go on to the low end VPS server websites. If the only ones calling companies out are the Chinese, it's virtually bulletproof.

Making our own internet would still run afoul ultimately of the backbones of the internet. The hard infrastructure. The satellites in orbit. And the Fibre Optic hard lines laid over the ocean floor.

I have no internet in my house, but I am sneeding via a TOR onion circuit force fed through an AT&T Cell Phone tower and Google Android operating system communicating with an obsolete windows operating system onto the Brave Browser.

But all of that ultimately feeds into the Hard Line. That AT&T cell phone tower. The chattering morons are taking hack saws to the very foundations of the Internet. It's inevitable that eventually the war to deplatform this website will reach that cell phone tower rising proudly from the cow pasture half a kilometer away from my house. Google Android will detect wrong think, it will tell AT&T, and AT&T will deny service.

this is the end or the sidewalk. Beyond this point is either surrender or war.

So basically a pack of people from the longnose tribe ousted the libertarian dude and then immediately started doing the exact same thing that other mainstream registrars are doing.

I guess this is one of those rare cases where they care more about ideology than money, because the only people still using Epik were the ones who were somehow unaware of how much of a shitshow the company had become, or were under the impression that it was still a firmly pro-1A company. Basically what I'm saying is that Epik is going to go directly out of fucking business, and they were already holding on by a thread so they can't really afford to be making dumb decisions like this right now.

Anyway, I've been eyeballing registrars for a long time as one of those layers of the internet's infrastructure that are being weaponized by the enemy. Anglin has been suffering repeated domain seizure ever since he made too many fat jokes about that disgusting obese Heyer bitch who threw herself in front a Dodge or whatever. Most registrars are apparently incredibly susceptible to whinemails from troons (and maybe state actors in some cases), and what's worse is that I suspect it's only a matter of time until ICANN itself is fully staffed by longnoses who care more about muh hate speech than running neutral internet infrastructure. At that point, what can you even do other than run tor-only forever?

From what my buddies in the hacker scene have told me that's the bad jacket that's been out on them. Considering 70%+ of the hacker tech community is left wing it's no surprise they'll believe a tranny who's got friends with media and tech vs some random nobody. Seems some resellers allow white-label resellers so they don't end up in the visibility chain.
Maybe one of them would be amenable. That is amenable to Josh's LLC being a reseller to his own domains.
