It's laughably hypocritical for Kiwi Farms to start a lolsuit because of "defamation".
I know words are hard, so let me help you out, oh mentally deficient one. And honestly, this should help any other morons that come in here without knowing what the word "defamation" means, so here's a nice little effortpost that will hopefully spell it out clearly enough for all the idiots out there that don't understand.
Let's presume I knew your dox. If I were to, say, archive and screenshot your post, and then said something like "Hey, look at this retarded ass post that this retard wrote! <Your Name> must be retarded, they don't even know what defamation means!" See, I'm making a value judgement there. If someone you knew in real life (like a family member or a friend or a coworker) were to see that, it's doubtful it would change their perception of you. I'm not defaming you, I'm making a judgement call based on what you, yourself, said.
Now let's go a bit further. Let's say I say something along the lines of "<Your Name> has Down's syndrome, and killed a hooker behind an Arby's in 1997." That is also, very obviously, not defamation. It can be inferred that I'm joking. The statements I'm making are so outrageous and unbelievable that no rational person would believe them to be true. It's riding a line, yeah, but no sane judge would view that as defamation.
Now, let's go just a bit further. Let's say I manufactured or doctored something to make you look like a child predator, and then publicly accused you of being a pedophile. That is defamation. If someone you knew IRL saw that, it could actually ruin your life, regardless of the credibility of the claims. It would spread, it would ruin people's perception of you, and unless it's proven 100 percent false, it would follow you to your grave. And even if it was proven false, there would STILL be people who view you in that light.
That is what is going on here. Epik has lied about the site being investigated by the Feds, then made the claim the site was hosting CP, and then literally doctored a picture to make it appear as though it was the CP in question. It's defamation, and anyone who can't see that may actually have Down's syndrome.
