Unironically getting life insurance is one of the best things you can do to provide for your kids. If something happens to you you know that your kids (and spouse? ) are taken care of. I know somebody who their dad fucking died and left them in a bunch of debt and didn't have life insurance so his family just kind of suffered towing the poverty line for over a decade. Granted their dad was a fucking retard with money because he saw the movie Zeitgeist and thought it was real and that you didn't have to pay certain taxes so this was like hundreds and thousands of dollars.... And he was the sole breadwinner at the time.

Even if none of this is true for you, being able to take care of your kids after you die because is the best things apparent can do...especially if your kids are still young. Funeral costs are very expensive in Murica (which ima assume thats where you are) especially as an unexpected expense. There is no guarantee with tomorrow and what will happen and eventually everybody's life expectancy goes to zero. Part of being a man/parent is preparing your offspring for a better life than you have now. also stop getting unwed women preggo that's weird bro.

I've lost everything before and then got it back again--and then some. Most things that impact our lives are out of our control (like your father's unpaid debts) but we can control how we handle the problems in front of us, how we see the world. Come at those problems smiling. Know there's a point and purpose to our lives and work. Don't lose heart or hope. God be with you.
