I'm not really a swinging cat. I have a cat, though. I like cats for a lot of reasons; mostly because one has to earn the respect of a cat. Dogs are cool but they tend to be pretty loving and loyal from the get-go, more so than cats.

Though cats are seemingly independent creatures, they are actually pack-oriented (well, clowder-oriented, anyway) and very loving and loyal to family.

I used to live near Charles Manson's Granny for years, and down the street from the Yosemite Killer, Cary Stayner.

I have a relative on a popular reality TV show. He was a pretty awesome guy. WAS. Now he doesn't give a shit about family, except for what he can get from us, publicity wise.

(This one is the most typically white trash of all!)
My aunt left my uncle for her cousin.

I remember when Stayner's brother Steven was abducted, then escaped 7 years later; also the movie that was made about him ("I Know My First Name is Steven"). IIRC, he died a few years later (in a motorcycle wreck?).

Cary Stayner is one scary-looking dude - cold eyes. So glad he was caught for, and confessed to, murdering his four victims, and that he'll be staying in San Quentin until he dies.
