"Gaslighting" is such an overused term these days. Every BPD zoomer trots it out the second anyone has a differing opinion on literally anything.
That said, just because it's overused to the point of being a meme at this point doesn't mean it doesn't also describe a real manipulation tactic; the conversation Lowtax recorded of he and Logan talking without her knowledge is actual, literal gaslighting for example. It's one party telling the other party that their perception of reality is totally wrong and all their recollections are wrong, and then manipulating them into accepting their version of events "helping them remember how it really happened". "Remember how you were drunk? And you don't remember things so good sometimes? Remember when you lied to police? Remember when I tripped on my toe sweat? Remember how you started kicking me in the spine? Remember how I asked you to stop doing X, Y, Z? Remember how you lied? You remember that right? You lied. You lied to the cops. You were drunk and on antipsychotics so you don't remember, but I'll help you remember since I wasn't drunk or on drugs and basically my recollection is 100% accurate and objective whereas yours is flawed because you had drank and took your meds and that's why you lied to the cops remember?".
That's what was so legit creepy about that recording to me. I roll my eyes as hard as anyone at some thot saying "STOP GASLIGHTING ME BY SAYING MAC DEMARCO ISNT GOOD!!!" on twitter, but when you see the real thing, it's actually pretty jarring.
