I genuinely wonder if Christopher Lloyd has ever even seen "Doc and Mharti."
Yeah, he did actually say "Doc and Marty," in that interview, but not only was it spelled 'wrong' there... (technically correct if he was just talking about BttF, and Roiland's original Rick and Morty pilot), but he also said "parody".

Rick and Morty is *not* a parody of Doc and Mharti, It is a "legally distinct" (but still similar enough) version of Roiland's 'Doc and Mharti', which yes, was originally an actual parody of BttF.

Would Christopher Lloyd even be ok with 'Mharti' being forced to lick 'Doc's' balls multiple times to save the day?
Literally nobody who didn't already share Roiland's obvious degenerate fetishes would want to see this, so I doubt Lloyd would either.

I used to watch Mission Hill all the time on teletoon It came on alongside that college show I can't remember, wait...undergrads I think... and clone high. all three of those shows were pretty great and all of them ended way too early.

I’m just taking the piss, man. Though given the general reactions of the fanbase at that point, [as] was spot on with that bit.

Not that I necessarily blame the fans for getting pissed even if it was a obnoxiously obvious bit: two crows was a really retarded way to give Rick empathy and a more direct connection to Morty than in past season, but it was necessary to get to the finale. And that season finale was amazing. I actually can’t believe they actually delivered not just on Evil Morty but on finally, finally divulging on Rick’s entire backstory, and stuck the landing at that. Although I’m seriously wondering how they’re gonna move forward into Season 6, or at least get everything back to status quo, especially with them completely changing Rick and Morty’s dynamic, completely getting rid of the portal fluid, and breaking the central finite curve.

Rick and morty fans are idiots. They don't get why they like the show. They want plot and continuity, yet they only like it because of the lack of plot and continuity. All these glimpses of continuity fans glip onto would mean nothing if the writers pandered to them and explained things. The mystery and lack of overall continuity and explanation with little teasers at an overall plot is what makes the show good.

Look what happened when nintendo tried too hard to explain zelda after fanboys bitched about continuity....the story turned to shit. Now those same kinds of fucks wanna ruin rick and morty.

Use your imagination. Fan imagination is why there's a community, not the sperg writers hand feeding them a story.

Episode 9 feels like a Season 1 episode. Ending song matches that earlier vibe..The story that Morty goes through is actually entertaining and Rick's 'sci fi' escapades isn't just endless action scenes.

now for episode 10.

edit: Yeaaaaa not enjoying the opening but im hopeful for the middle/ending. Its gets solid and I liked the ending.

knowing how they pulled off going back to status quo with season 3's first episode, probably deal with it in one episode and everything is back to normal

Just saw the finale, mildy impressed is what I came away with. It was super rushed though and frankly the crows should have been dealt with in episode 9 to give more time for the finale, but I am glad that finally something is happening again. Don't trust them to not fuck it up in season 6 like they did in season 3 though.

Also not ignoring the fact that this should have been set up and executed in Season 3 instead of wasting time with seasons 3- 41/2 . The half being half of season 5 where dick all happens.

Rick waves his dick around, has everything go exactly perfectly his way buuut just make enough of a "joke" out of it in order to make the mouth breathers that still think this show is good think something clever is happening.
