Are people allowed to enjoy anything these days? I just got back from the Cyberpunk thread after getting shit on and downvoted for saying I'm enjoying the DLC.

I like this forum but everyone is ultra obsessed with this irony poisoned cynicism where unless you're doing nothing but drinking/smoking weed, being depressed, and whining about troons you're some uncool consumerist dork.

It's getting retarded.
Imagine caring about what random people on the internet think lol.

The new episode was surprisingly better than I expected, not really good, but at least got a few chuckles out of me. The robot ghost was kinda funny. But the new Rick voice is just wrong, it's like he can't get to the same tones as the original. They missed a chance to at least explain the change.

I like the theory that this episode was moved to the top of the season because it heavily features other characters to distract from Rick's new voice.

The new episode was actually good. Jerry and Rick shuffled are fun and they break many insufferable traits the two characters have that stopped being funny 3 seasons ago, as well as having a nice straightforward episode plot (but again Morty is a non entity).

I wonder when the show will shit the bed again, but so far I'm happy with it.

I can blame this site for making me check stuff I know I'm going to be ambivalent towards for the second time in 3 weeks.
Latest episode mixes the imo best and worst episodes about Ricks issues into one and manages to do nothing about it. Dr. Wong literally tells Unity Rick wants her to know he is changing very slowly. Rick goes back to being a sad sack, they saved the one thing that makes him look like an ass for the ending after being bodied emotionally and the fact this is the 3rd episode pretty much confirms the common theory the season is out of order to ease the transition to the new VAs.
Why the fuck do they bother to make character growth episodes if Rick is going to revert to Season 3 status by the end or get told he hasn't changed?

I liked the new suicide spaghetti episode because it felt like a season 1 episode
But a troon wrote it :(
The episode was surprisingly good up until the last five minutes when they tried to get emotional for those Reddit points and it went on forever. Weird it was written by a troon considering it really reminds the current issue with Canada's suicide organ harvesting grift, though later on it became the usual vegetarian bullshit.

The suicide spagetti episode was quite possibly the best episode we've seen in several seasons. It picked an absurd sci fi premise and ran with it through to the end with a satisfying conclusion that is actually somewhat relatable to modern day premises in a way that doesn't feel hacky.

I genuinely did not believe we'd ever see an episode this good ever again.

I don't agree. To me it doesn't seem like vegetarian bullshit at all.

It is an allegory for the fact that the amenities you enjoy have a human cost to them, your iphone required children to work in lithium mines.

This episode basically says if you saw the life of a child forced to mine lithium so you can buy iphone 35 for the third year in a row you'd probably stop buying them too.

How's it feel to know Pizzagate came so close to exposing the elites, that now they have to call it "spaghetti"?

Idk, having the lobotomized human look like a chicken seemed kinda on the nose. Plus shit like Peta propaganda always hinges on "what if animals were human?".

Also people don't give a shit about the cost of what they consume. No one would stop eating chocolate because of the child slaves being used for it.

Jerry also said “first octopus and then this.. can’t we just go with half the county and be on the fascist side? They get to do a lot more stuff.”

Cringe lib insert that most likely alludes to veganism

But fuck it was a funny episode
