Love how Rick stabilizes society to suit his needs and when he leaves he just yanks the McGuffin needed for that. So perfectly dickish, do I get the feeling like they're trying to make him less likable this season. Maybe to counter some of the fandom's views on Rick or something. Oh well, it's still entertaining as fuck.

So, has anyone here ever read the Rick and Morty comics that are publsihed for some time now? Cause I have read into them and I think they are pretty damn hilarious. One e.g. has a story arc about an alternate version of Jerry actually being competent and quite evil (to make it better, he is from the Doofus Rick universe) and he becomes the most threatening thing ever for the entire Council of ricks since Rick-137

I remember scrolling through /aco/ (don't ask, can't bare the suffer:horrifying:) and there's a rick and morty thread and almost everyone on the board kept saying how the new episode sucks because a women wrote the episode and how "feminazi" it is because summer is getting her spotlight.

"waaah women ruined everything!". Sadly I can't post a reply because I got a banned from two years just by trolling. Seriously, fuck 4chan and their shitty taste of entertainment. There never pleased whenever a women is onscreen even if it isn't feminist pandering to begin with.

I remember watching when the Council of Ricks appeared, and realized how much of a riff / love letter / tribute / homage this whole series seems to be riffing on all of Jonathan Hickman's work.

Not that that's a bad thing. Hickman is some quality sci-fi that's in a league of his own. Seeing this series "ape" Hickman and other fringe sci-fi... is surreal.

I really didn't think it was about empowerment. S3 Summer, in my opinion, has been running away from the idea of a normal, content existence. She wasn't happy when the Galactic Federation was running the Earth, and her marriage came to a stop once the cannibalistic post-apocalypse shifted into typical suburbia. In a sense I get the feeling she's embracing Rick and his adventures as a form of escapism, rather than letting life turn her into a Jerry.

And really, considering how Morty has developed after two seasons with Rick it's a nice balance.

Exactly. Which is why 4chan is stupid enough to think it's feminist pandering because it's a women writing an episode. Seriously, 4chan is very hard to pleased.
