Wubba lubba dub dub!

My favorite episode was when Summer got a job at the cursed thrift store owned by the devil (Needful Things parody).

And I loved the scene in the "Lawnmower Dog" episode in which Rick & Morty help the Freddy Krueger knock off with his marital problems.

Although I still enjoyed it, anyone else find "Big Trouble in Little Sanchez" a little weak?

You've got a point. I liked the subplot with Jerry & Beth more in that episode.

Also, nothing like getting jacked solely for the purpose of beating up an old boss, a bunch of bigots, and pricks to "X Gon' Give it to ya"

Who else here thinks that Total Rick-call is probably one of the best episodes of the entire show so far? While my favorite of season 2 will probably be the Assimilation one, I just love this episode for how it makes fun of the idea of comedic sidekicks, shows introducing new characters and the dark subversion of expectations at the end with Mr. Poppybutthole

Fuck you, this show deserves its own thread.

So anyway, who else is a fan of this incredible show? I honestly can't think of any other show that manages to screw with my mind the way it does week after week. If you're not familiar with Rick and Morty, it's sort of like a darker version of Futurama. If you're a fan of Futurama or even sci-fi in general, definitely try it out!

Anyway, what are your favorite episodes? I love all of them, but I think Total Rickall (the episode that features alien parasites who brainwash people into thinking that they're beloved friends/family) is my favorite/

I've seen a few episodes of Rick and Morty. Needless to say, it's pretty entertaining. One that I did enjoy was the one where Morty and Rick try to get money for this village. Never will forget the Meseeks that wanted to die along with the jelly bean that tried to violate Morty. Also enjoyed the one where Rick's love potion ends up mixing with the flew which eventually led to their home dimension being screwed. Never will forget this short song.

*Fun Fact: The jelly bean appeared in another work which is NSFW. I'll just leave it at that.

Edit: Also forgot to share this

I haven't seen this show, but I think I would really enjoy it, based of of clips that I saw. I rather like the animation and the backgrounds. What is the best episode to start out with?

I feel like saying Meseeks and Destroy but I could be wrong. Another episode worth starting off with is Rick Potion No. 9 (where the flu is around and Morty wants a love potion to get some classmate he has a crush on). There is one more, where Rick and Morty go into the body of some hobo and it houses a themepark kinda like Jurassic Park.

On behalf of making myself unpopular, I have the following to say: The last episode of Rick and Morty was probably the worst one I have seen so far.
I think Rick and Morty is a good show and so far I have always found something entertaining in any episode, even in the ones I thought were lackign a bit. But last nights episode was in my opinion a lackluster revisit of Ricksty-Minutes, where neither the A nor the B-plot was really funny. Jerry can be a funny character when used in the right capacity, but here he wasn't. And the improved alternate univere tv-shows, I thought they were done better last time. the only thing that surprised me was Werner Herzog's cameo, but I have seen him do better.

I was pretty disappointed too, honestly. Rixty Minutes was so much better. I still giggle at the Two Brothers and Gazorpazorpfield sketches.

I have to say though, in my opinion, the most lackluster episode was Get Schwifty. It's not bad, but it can't hold a candle to the rest of the series.

At least Get Schwifty gave us giant heads, a weird Ice-T joke and a made up religion joke that was entertaining to watch.

I know that the show relies a lot on improv for its dialogue but last night's episode was painful. It was like going to a local improv troupe's show at the tavern and each and every sketch was unfunny and half-assed; at the end I'm glad I didn't have to pay to see the show and at least I had my beer to get me through it.

What irks me more was that when they did this type of episode last season (Rixty Minutes) it actually worked pretty well and was actually entertaining. But I feel like there was a lot more effort put into Rixty Minutes, and last nights episode was kind of just an "eh fuck it, they'll eat anything"

I was a big fan of the first "interdimensional cable" episode. It was one of my favorite episodes of the first season. This one had a few funny moments, but it wasn't nearly as good. In the first one, both the A-plot and B-plot had to do with alternate universes. This one's B-plot had nothing to do with that theme, so it seemed like there was less focus on the interdimensional cable aspect of it. Plus, like the person above me said, it felt like they put more effort into "Rixty Minutes" than this. They even say in the episode: "we pretty much nailed it the first time."

So far, my favorite episode of this season is probably "Total Rickall." Either that, or "Auto Erotic Assimilation."

Honestly, the subplots of late have been way more entertaining than the main plots. Rick saves the day and belches a lot, Morty screams and acts as Rick's moral compass...while clones of Jerry/Beth slaughter dozens if not hundreds of people in a sick tableau of their fucked up relationship, or the people of town develop an entire religion in a short period of time which causes them to act insanely towards one another, or Summer is "kept safe" in deeply uncomfortable and brutal ways.
