RIP bodybuilding.com

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I never used the site; I probably should have.

It makes me sad when sites from the old Internet die.

HOWEVER I am looking forward to instead chatting with the billion dollar "proprietary" AIs trained on human knowledge scraped from sites that have long disappeared from the public Internet.

None of us have a copy of the knowledge stored at dead unarchived sites like bodybuilding.com.

But some AI company does, and they are keeping it for themselves to sell it back to us.

This is the most based thing ever. It won't be self-aware, but it will be aware. Very aware.

That's a shame. I met some of my best friends as a direct result of joining the BBCOM World of Warcraft guild.
Did you play in the one on Emerald Dream, back in around 2010 or 2012 (can't remember the exact year)?

In the day the site used to be almost as much of a meme factory as 4chan itself.
I loved the "tattoos make you a bad mother" and "bodybuilders against tipping" facebook groups. Those two caused so much genuine seethe back in the day.

It was the steroid, cocaine, constant weight cut that killed him. Didn't he die in a suana?

as far as i’m aware, i thought he had heart failure from the roids

could be wrong but i don’t remember how he died
He had a congenital heart defect and had a heart attack in a sauna. Steronz, DNP etc etc can't have helped though.

Hosting costs, I guess. But BB.com is also a rather large company for an online retailer of this very specific market, so it could be that they just didn't care anymore
A few forums I used to shit post on just got closed down in the end as they were just liabilities for the companies. It a damn shame but each man kills the thing he loves.

So how many days are in a week anyways? I've always liked training every other day; 4 days a week.
60. The babylonians were smart to count by 60 minutes. You can divide it by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10. It's very practical for a number of different intervals.

We are still going to keep weekends to 2 days though, for legacy reasons. Get back in your cagey wagey.

Paying my respects to an era from before I even started, always sad to see an old forum gone for good like that.
Finished today's main lifts with AMRAPs of zercher shrugs. You Have To Live It
