RIP Thread

Since this is also a thread for death anniversaries, today (November 11th) is the 25th anniversary of the suicide of Mary Kay Bergman, the original voice actress for the female characters on South Park.

Not gonna lie, even though I was unfamiliar with Mary Kay Bergman beyond the characters she voiced, her suicide still shook me a lot when I first heard about it.
Yeah that wad a weird and totally unexpected suicide. Depression is indeed a bitch.

After her suicide, "Blame Canada" was actually nominated for an Oscar. Since she had passed away, Robin Williams stepped up to the plate and performed it at the Oscar's awards ceremony that next year. R.I.P. to both....

Saafir, West Coast rap legend best for known his role in “Menace II Society”, has died at the age of 54

No cause of death mentioned. So ... gang flavored monkeyshines or drugs? Admittedly 54 is quite old for rappers but the typical causes of death don't really change.
It was reported that he had spinal surgery over a decade ago, as he was confined to a wheelchair for some period of time. There was that, along with other undisclosed health issues.

In 2013, on the blog of hip-hop historian Davey D, Shock G from Digital Underground explained Saafir’s absence from the scene in a sprawling list of accidents, afflictions and obstacles that went viral among hip-hop fans. Saafir later disputed parts of Shock G’s recollection, and offered his account in an interview with the San Francisco Bay Guardian, where he detailed the challenges of navigating the healthcare system.

Saafir, who used a wheelchair after his spinal surgery, made very few appearances over the past 15 years.
