Words I Leave Behind
The flame of my life is finally about to burn out.
If you’re reading this, it means that moment has come. I’m no longer of this world.
(This last message has been entrusted to someone dear to me.)
My life was a series of battles. I kept winning.
I caused a lot of trouble along the way.
But I take pride in having fought through it all, true to my convictions.
I have no regrets.
Only one thing weighs on me: not being able to deliver a new work to my fans. I’m truly sorry for that. Forgive me.
That’s how it is.
So it goes.
— Tomonobu Itagaki
(do keep in mind he was not involved with NG4 at all)Right before the release of Ninja Gaiden 4 too
Look at the man, it had to be drugs and alcohol.Out of anyone, Itagaki was the least person I expected to pass away. Right before the release of Ninja Gaiden 4 too, like this dude made the best games back 2 back with Dead or alive 3 and 4 being the best fighting games I've ever played. R.I.P
He did mention lots of alcohol in interviews regularlyLook at the man, it had to be drugs and alcohol.
Rest in Piece, grumpy looking asian man. I hope they won't ruin your work too muchTomonobu Itagaki 板垣 伴信, creator and director of Dead Or Alive and reviver of Ninja Gaiden, has passed away at the age of 58
