Words I Leave Behind
The flame of my life is finally about to burn out.
If you’re reading this, it means that moment has come. I’m no longer of this world.
(This last message has been entrusted to someone dear to me.)

My life was a series of battles. I kept winning.
I caused a lot of trouble along the way.
But I take pride in having fought through it all, true to my convictions.
I have no regrets.

Only one thing weighs on me: not being able to deliver a new work to my fans. I’m truly sorry for that. Forgive me.

That’s how it is.
So it goes.

— Tomonobu Itagaki

Dead or alive 2 and 3 were some of my most played games as a teen, I'd just rewatch 2's intro over and over, and ninja gaiden kicked my ass. He might have struggled with later works but that doesn't take away the fact he made some legendary games that gave me immeasurable joy. His style and game defined those early 2000s years that I treasured so much.
Rest well you stylish goofy edgy japanese man, I hope they bury you with your sunglasses.

Out of anyone, Itagaki was the least person I expected to pass away. Right before the release of Ninja Gaiden 4 too, like this dude made the best games back 2 back with Dead or alive 3 and 4 being the best fighting games I've ever played. R.I.P

I played so much Dead or Alive 3 with my friends. I love that fucking game. It's a masterpiece. RIP. You were a legend.

Damn, he was one of the good ones. Meanwhile faggots like Bobby Kottick that ruin the gaming industry are going to live forever. Depressing.
Rest in Piece you fucking legend. :lossmanjack:
