Len Wein -- creator of Wolverine, with Dave Cockrum he created Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus and with the equally wonderful Bernie Wrightson, Swamp Thing, among many, many others, passed away this morning. Len had endured health problems his entire life, his father was told he wouldn't make it out of his teens, but Len, very much like his beloved, beat up Canadian, endured ... and I was proud to call him my friend. I already miss that hilarious laugh. **SNIKT** (sob).

It was just announced that Hugh Hefner of Playboy passed away this evening, he was 91.

RIP Donald Malarky, one of the last surviving members of Easy Company, 506th PIR.
I just read a bit about him, its incredible. These people were so young when they had to go to war but survived to such a high age. There is definetly a special breed of humans out there. I read a book about Ernst Jünger. He fought in both world wars and died over 100 years old, also lived an incredible life.

RIP Tom Petty. He was just taken off life support after suffering a heart attack. He was 66 years old.
