The news is that noted British author of bestselling horror schlock, Guy N. Smith has passed. The pulpy and prolific author wrote thousands of short stories and magazine articles, including for magazines on countryside living and pipe smoking. He made his mark with his novel "Werewolf by Moonlight" which was a big hit for publisher New English Library in the 1970s and they printed a lot of his subsequent novels, including his notorious schlock "Night of the Crabs" series, which was about mutant crabs on the rampage, which he had published a couple of more entries in in recent years. Other novels included his Sabat series, about a demon-bashing ex-priest, ex-SAS operative turned exorcist Mark Sabat, who dispatches evils in his hard-nosed way while dealing with the spirit of black magician brother who died and lurks in the back of his mind, waiting for a chance to posses his body. There was also novels like "The Slime Beast" about, well, a slime beat lurking in a bog that almost was made into a film in 2015. RIP to an old-school pulpster.

With interesting covers like those, he could have been the next R.L. Stine for young adults. I’m surprised I didn’t hear of him until now.

RIP Jeff Censored. I'll post if I can find the obit. Grace from Really Graceful reached out to a mutual friend who called the police to do a wellness check after he failed to show up for a scheduled livestream. It was an aneurysm apparently. He complained of a migraine toward the end of his last video.

KJ from Thescariestmovieever just posted this tribute.
