Risk of Rain (2) - Rooty Tooty Panic and Shooty

Game is amazing so far, I'm very excited to see it develop. I hope the music gets built upon too, at the minute that's the biggest thing that I miss about the first game, 2's music just doesn't have the same level of polish, doesn't evoke the same feeling to me.

I play mostly Mercenary right now. What about you guys?

My romantic life partner has been playing it. Real nice looking game.

Both games are great and I'm really looking forward to the first content patch. I've played mostly merc, engineer, commando. Sticky Bombs are crazy op and their sound is great. Only really played online with a buddy but I'm glad they put in a match maker.

This game is fun as heck.
The first one is great too but the change from 2D to 3D is really refreshing and adds a new level of immersion into it.
Still a quite a challenge for me to get Artificer though.

The game is great. I wasn't sure about the 3D when I first saw it, but the transition has been fantastic and it's still in early access. Already put in tons of hours as the Mercenary and Mul-T(was actually concerned about that one, but the move overhaul perfectly fine). I guess one of my complaints so far is that the game really isn't meant to go past a certain amount of upgrades. The framerate really starts to shit the bed once you have a lot passive damage buffs built up and god help you if overloaded worms show up at that point. Can't imagine what multiplayer looks like at that point.

I've played around with the Artificer and I'm just not feeling the character. She's pretty frail and even her main attack is put on a cooldown

Is multiplayer still pretty rough? Got some serious lag and I have pretty decent internet.

I am loving this game. The first was a lot of fun, and this may be one of the best transitions from 2d to 3d I can remember. My personal favorite character is the robot because his nail gun fires so fast, any effects left to chance will happen a good amount. And if you get the thing that gives 100% crit rate for a time, all falls before you.

I've played a fair bit of it with friends and had very very few issues with lag, reboot ur router lol.

Huntress sucks major dick, Engineer can be insanely OP if you grab the right items, very fun. Engineer was my favourite character in the first game, I'm really glad he made the transition to 3D so well.

Unlocked the Merc (who is now a fucking anime master holy shit) and MULT-E or whatever his name is now. Had a blast with both.

The game started spawning so many enemies that my framerate tanking was the main danger. After a while I realised that it was almost impossible for me to actually die, had to go for the portal instead.

Engineer is the best.
Nice! I stopped at about that point too. Shame the game doesn't seem stable enough to reliably play past that without the framerate dropping into single digits because you are pretty much invincible at that point

The new updates are amazing. Siren's Call is a fabulous level, and Loader came outta nowhere to fight Engi for my favorite character spot, right when he was enjoying his new mobile artillery.

Loader gives me serious Bionic Commando vibes. Latching onto a wisp and launching myself into an untargetable tetherball of punches is a delight. I hope it isn't nerfed, but since his Pylon skill seems to be mostly intended just to enable those sorts of shenanigans at will, I'm hopeful things won't change too much. I haven't taken him online yet, but I suspect my rather slow but highly amusing techniques will make me an excellent decoy for a merc or a mul-t.

Just bought the game to play with friends, and I really like it! Feels like MMO combat without the boring shit. I only unlocked the Huntress so far, not a fan of how she plays at all.

I tried it for a little bit and couldn't get into it. I didn't unlock much but found it too repetitive and grindy.

I suck at this game, but it is so fun. I made it my goal to unlock a skin before any of my friends just so I could say I did it. I disliked Articifer pre-skills patch, but now she's my favorite. Her issues before were a lack of mobility which impacted her longer cool downs and dainty health. After completing the challenge of killing enemies in the air (its possible to complete by jumping off a taller map (I did it with Sirens Call) and floating until you get the achievement. The alternate ability replaces the flamethrower and gives her a vertical launch ability which stuns and damages in an aoe where its activated. The height is fantastic, and the ability is literally game breaking as you can use without touching the ground. This gives you permanent flight and, given a few mobility items, makes you an almost unhittable target. I just obliterated at monsoon difficulty for the skin challenge. There is also a limit to the range some bosses can target you at, which I didn't know at all. Now the strat is just blasting the boss from a safe distance and moving closer to charge teleporter.

I have a feeling they might patch the ability, as it does create some imbalance in the game. I feel like there is a limit to how far you can get with the strat though, so maybe not.
