Second, when they and the rest of games media threw a fit about it, instead of instantly backing down and kissing the ring, Eidos and Square Enix more or less told them to go jump in a lake. They are REALLY threatened by the fact that their power over developers is waning, and that games and other media that DO come out of their clique keep under-performing or outright failing.
