The Brady Bill was shit. The law that protects gun makers and sellers from being sued was created specifically because billionaires and other moral busybodies made an effort to hurt gun makers and sellers by using frivolous lawsuits to keep them tied up in court, not to win, but to force gun makers to spend millions upon millions to keep lawyers to fight these activists. Its essentially how SLAPP suits work. Democrats who supported the law did so mostly because they can easily see that letting billionaires in court dictate policy was a really really bad idea. The Amtrak one was to allow people to put their guns in their checked luggage. IIRC this means checked in to a place then checked out after the trip, not allowed right on board. Dickey Amendment was created specifically after researchers at the CDC made it clear they were pushing for a pro-gun control agenda. Because a federal agency was directly using public funds to push for gun-control, the Dickey Amendment was put in place to prevent it.

TLDR, all those laws are actually pretty decent and Hating Bernie for voting yes to those laws is fucking stupid. But what do I know, I actually understand gun laws.

Also, including an Undertale character? Wasn't the whole point of the Undertale game that violence is bad/wrong and that you should always find a pacifist alternative to violence when confronting someone? The Smash Brothers series is all about pointless, over the top Three Stooges style violence. The word SMASH in is the freakin' NAME! How do you play a game with a message as hamfistingly delivered as Undertale's was and not even remotely get it? Only Bob could be this willfully ignorant.

I think the only reason he knows about Undertale in the first place is because it was popular. Doesn't surprise me that the message totally slipped by him. He probably just saw other people calling for the same thing and followed suit.

Law enforcement and military personnel get trained in grappling, and I wouldn't call putting a rear naked choke on someone "elaborate". You can teach someone to do it in under an hour.

Bob doesn't like combat effective techniques because bullies used them on him when he called them "obsolete" and told them they should just fade away while he basked in his superiority.

Oh, that point is that movie fights - even in the interest of being "realistic" are starting to reach the saturation point of being silly. From rapid jump cuts that make the action unintelligible to 75 lb women doing the same moves as a 200 lb man instead attacks more suited to their size, you have to wonder if our modern movies are really any more realistic than this:

This, so much! It is starting to get stupid to watch much lighter women in movies being able to use more powerful moves on foes that are probably at least twice their size when they could simply use some form of martial arts, use a knife, use a gun, or be a sniper. Bob's reason he hates MMA is because it undermined his precious wrestling when it proved that it was turning into shit and that most of his perceived enemies are in far better shape than he is.
