You know, we were talking about Bob's most bizarre and autistic beliefs/behaviors a few pages ago and no one brought up his constant announcing to everyone when he sleeps.

You know, :powerlevelne of my earliest debugging tests was done at a Toys 'R Us during christmas time. (My builders figured if I didn't kill anybody during it, my safeties were operational - they were only wrong 4 times.):powerlevel: So on one level I can feel some sadness at seeing a place like that close down.

But an interpretation of Hell? In his next book, is Bob going to compare Toys R Us closing as his own Dante's Inferno?

Then to make it worse, he can't even connect to the idea that maybe some people feel the same way he does towards the factory closing down in their town. This man's inability to demonstrate sympathy is just baffling and I'm just a robot.

This is true, but Radio Shack usually at least had people that were interested in things like programming or ham radio or whatever. Bob would be disappointed that ham radio isn't a way to transmit pork into his system over the airwaves.

Yes and no. The main effect will be the loss of jobs for thousands of people. However, the entire retail apocalypse is already the result of changes in the American economy. The economy will change overtime and adjust accordingly to the shift.

Holy fuck, this is an almost 40 year old man who is so upset about a toy store closing he has to take a nap.

Most people would feel maybe a little melancholic, but not to this degree.

I mean I sympathize with him. I ended up back in the city near my hometown for the first time in years last summer. It was bizarre. I barely remembered how to get around. But then driving by houses I pointed out to my newer friends where me and the people they also met had done shit. Or the parties I had told them stories about. I even stopped at my first job to go see the manager again, because he gave me the Job because I had been in there all the time spending my allowance. And it had been closed for a week. And I realized you can't go home again.
