Jynx has nothing to do with blackface. Its look is based on a creature from Japanese folklore, as well as the "ganguro" fashion trend that started in Japan around the time Pokemon debuted there (which in itself was a protest against the cultural expectation of Japanese women to have pale, white skin).
Since there are very few black people in Japan, there was no such thing as black slaves, Jim Crow laws, or minstrel shows in Japan, so they have no context for blackface in the first place. Only people as arrogant as SJWs have taken it upon themselves to tell another race what their culture really meant and how civilized whiteys like them can show the backwards neanderthals how the thing they've been doing for thousands of years is problematic.

To play devil's advocate for a bit, I think the original Jynx censorship was perfectly reasonable. The backlash came out of a place of ignorance, yes, but the fact of the matter is that Nintendo was at the time making it a high priority to convert Pokemon into an international brand. They had to keep in mind how their product would appear to the layperson - and most folks in America would just think "sassy black woman stereotype" and leave it at that, not research the culture on the other side of the pond to determine whether this Pokeyman show their kids are into is actually racist. (Particularly since this was before Wikipedia was even a thing.)
So in the end, it was resolved pretty amicably. Nintendo agreed to purplewash Jynx because the proto-SJW complaints actually touched upon a relevant issue in their marketing. Everyone was happy... except for the rabid Pokemon fans and attention-starved gaming journalists who still somehow feel like a racism scandal from 15 years ago is relevant to the present day.

Would that 50% be the people that pay nothing in taxes after they get their refunds and live pretty much on welfare? And it's not just 'marginalized minorities' that fall into this category; tons of the oppressive whites do, too. After all, caucasians still make up over 70% of the country's population, so with pretty much half the population not paying in anything, it can't just be all the PoC.
The truth of the matter is, that given the choice between government handouts vs working, many people want the handouts-- hell, some think they deserve the handouts. Now, the fact that it's become more profitable for large companies to send their work over to China and such isn't helping. There's less decent paying jobs here than there were even 30 years ago, let alone right after WWII. And the fact that decent paying jobs are becoming the rarity isn't helping the idea that people should earn a living as opposed to having the government take care of them.
But, that's what many on the far left want, though. A Nanny State that has control of its population through forcing people to be reliant on it; where only those who are deemed worthy really have any choice in how things are run. Granted the worthy aspect is also a right wing concept, too. Essentially, both sides want a new nobility class, the political class, that decides everything for everyone-- except them, since they're not the mere peasants.
