I thank God for Twitter sometimes. As annoying as it can be to see people argue politics sometimes, I’m so happy that people like MovieBob will always be there to say something hilariously stupid.

MovieBob continues to show how little he knows about the economy and that both the dual and urban areas sustain each other. How does an ill-informed basement-dweller consider himself the elite? Maybe his parents are, but he sure as hell isnt. When Bob becomes the elite, I’ll officially start crying for revolution.

Seriously, Bob- you've never lived in California. The cost of living is so fucking high that when I was trying to support myself during college it actually was more cost effective to quit the job I was commuting to and take a lower paying job I could bike to because I couldn't afford the cost of filling my gas tank up twice a week on my wages.

Although if Bob moves to San Diego he CAN be the first man to overdose on burritos. Bostonians probably won't like that good SoCal-Mex though...

Not sure what more damage the YouTube purge can do for Bob than himself. His constant GamerGate sperging seems to have destroyed his career and reputation by now. So if the YouTube purge hits him, it would mean nothing since he did all of this to himself during GamerGate.

I suspect Bob has already been effected by this. Ever since the YouTube Adpocalypse of 2017 happened, a lot of channels have been struggling to run ads on their videos. Bob's likely already been completely demonetized, and it's looking more and more likely it will never go back to normal. That's why I believe if Bob ever loses his Patreon, that's when his career down slide will go into full effect. Patreon is likely his last major revenue stream, he loses that and he's completely screwed.

Plenty of ways. Perhaps he isn't fulfilling his perks to his patrons and he gets reported to Patreon for it. Or Patreon decides they don't like what Bob does or says, so they kick him off their platform. They did it to that Twitter account who was doxxing Charlottesville attendants, they will gladly do it to Bob.

Come to think of it, what are the perks that Bob gives to his patrons? I can't find any perks listed on his actual Patreon page.

It still confounds me just what a firestorm Gamergate was in making people lose their damn minds. Bob was bluntly told by his bosses to cut out the Gamergate crap or he'd be shitcanned, and he decided that this was the hill he'd die on.

Granted, the Escapist itself is basically dead by now (Zero Punctuation is the last thing keeping it alive) but Bob could have had a cushy job for another year or two.

I've said this multiple times over in the Nostalgia Critic thread, but I really am astonished that it was gamegate of all things that caused people to those their minds. It's baffling how something so stupid as gamergate was the thing everyone had to sperg about and go nuts over. Looking back, I see gamergate as the catalyst for what was the beginning of a new era of cows. We saw so many retards emerge from that spergfest, Bob included.

As someone who joined the site just before GamerGate hit, I can confirm it was the turning point in terms of this site becoming more political and putting a sharper focus on SJW cows and the emergent Rat King.

It's incredible, if you go to the first page of the original Brianna Wu thread you can see lots of people saying "Eh, she isn't that funny, this thread won't get anywhere". She's now on her third thread.

Bob was one of the cows spawned from GamerGate, although unlike with Wu no-one's ever really tried to argue he isn't a cow, because it's inarguable with a guy who thinks Mario and Link would be ashamed of gamers.
