I really don't know why Bob hates Bitcoin so much.
On paper it really should just slot right into the asscrack of a bunch of his philosophies. The most of which is to stick it to the entrenched white man who should be obsolete in the Superior Future.

I'm not some of the fucks in this thread who just must oppose The Blob at every step.
I like Bitcoin, and have for awhile.
And I'm willing to admit, I like Bitcoin for a lot of the reasons that Bob really should like it. For all his talk of tearing apart the systems that don't work and throwing out people who haven't been challenged despite being on the cusp of becoming irrelevant -- culturally or economically -- he and I specifically should be two peas in a pod on this shit.
I was holding out hope that at some point there would be at least some kind of internal logic to some kind of thinking on pretty much any facet of Bob's thought process, and he'd be at least consistent with something. There'd be some kind of point where I could at least give him credit enough to say, "Well, he's wrong as a motherfucker, but somewhere in there is the kernel of truth or interesting thought."
It really is just pettiness, guilt by association, and sour grapes with him, isn't it? Fuck me this isn't worth it.

It is a real word, but I don't think it's used in the way he used it there. He gets called out for being genocidal when he call entire classes of people 'obsolete' so he's trying to mix it up.

That's what confused me. The actual word I was thinking of is "Obsolescence" not "Obsolescent". Most people just say "becoming obsolete" instead. I guess Bob is just trying to sound all hoity-toity highbrow there. Coming from him the word seems strange or forced.

That gets me too. I always think about the internal logic of somebody's ideas so somebody who doesn't care like Bob ends up throwing me off. You would think someone, even the close-minded, would make an attempt at reconciling their inconsistencies just for defense if anything but nope. Bob favors taking an antagonistic viewpoint with everything and never goes deeper than the very surface.
Diversity & Comics really did hit the nail on the head by describing Bob as a "Low-T tryhard".
