Slightly fftopic:, but I’ve been reading Hillbilly Elgy lately, which details the author’s experience growing up as part of a white working-class family in Appalachia, and what he describes sounds a lot like the problems that African American communities face. Yet Bob only thinks that the latter group is worth saving and seems to believe that the former is the way that they are by choice. I don’t know whether that’s racist in the sense that it implies that only white people have agency, Bob simply harbors an irrational hatred for them, or both.

Like how does a milquetoast, bland man from Bahston become such a vile and bigoted human being. Bob doesn't just hold harsh beliefs; his beliefs are hostile to the point of being genocidal. Bob would not hesitate to implement a two-class system in this country were he given the chance to, based solely on whether or not one's political beliefs align with his own. He's not just restricted to Conservatives and Republicans he's displayed a willingness to attack others from the Left if they choose to not act in the same boorish, aggressive manner that he does the Republicans.
