You know I found this picture the other day of hispanics swimming through a river heavily polluted by raw sewage and industrial waste in an attempt to illegally cross the border. They had trash bags on their head to camouflage themselves as floating refuse. The picture was allegedly taken near Calexico, right smack dab in the middle of all the maquilas on the Mexico-California border. The picture was cited as having been taken in '05, before the Bush administration really started cracking down on Mexican immigration, before Obama declared war on Mexican immigrants (and he fucking did), and over a decade before Trump even announced his candidacy.

The reason those maquilas are there, is because it's a duty- and tax-free trade zone devoid of labor or environmental protection that was specifically created by NAFTA. A lot of maquila workers and Mexican illegals are, or were originally, economic refugees who had been displaced by NAFTA. But that's a long story for another time.

I'm sorely tempted to tweet Bob that picture and ask if that's what he supports, because it is. That's Bob's Diverse Superior Future, Mexicans swimming through a river of shit and toxic waste to come here and be wage slaves.

You know, Bob, the reason cities tend to get labelled as "decadent hellscapes" is because they contain both resources, and high population density, which is basically the recipe for Crime. Thieves and drug dealers don't tend to congregate in two-horse towns or hang out at barn-raisings because they'd not only have fewer opportunities to do their business, they'd also have a higher chance of being caught.
